I too have been experiencing grabbiness on my Kartel 108's, ESPECIALLY in powder. They grab me in my special place, and give me a warm, tingly feeling. A grabbiness that I have not felt on any other skis. I absolutely love them.

Oh yeah?! Well I've tuned into the tens!!

I dig the hard blue gummy for detuning, and a soft gray gummy for cleaning up burrs/corrosion. Yeah, you have to rail on 'em, but my forearm/wrist are well-conditioned for that repetitive motion. I'd rather have to rail on it excessively to get the desired result than to run the risk of overshooting the desired result. Same goes for tuning skis.

My K108 have a custom tune and are mounted 2cm back from recommended.....

I know how to run diamonds after a file on side bevels, honing and polishing stones in a base bevel after a side bevel and how to use a gummi. And i did all of the above. As i do on all skis i tune (without issue). The skis just don't like to be that sharp. Well tuned from the factory? Sure. SHARP from the factory? Hardly. I understand detuning tips and tales, even relatively far past rockered/tapered sections, but this is only the second ski out of a few dozen that i've tried that doesn't seem to tolerate being that sharp underfoot. But as i said, it seems to still grip pretty well, so meh

I've never messed with the ON3P factory tunes except for on 1st and 2nd gen Billy Goats where I felt that the tips needed to be detuned to about 3-4" back from the front contact point (front of effective edge) in order to reduce hookiness. I've only skied my 16/17 BGs once, but it was on hardpack and they didn't seem hooky at all.

Our current quiver spans nearly all generations of ON3Ps including: 13/14 Vicik 176, 16/17 BG 179, 14/15 Wren 102 176, and 09/10 Grizzlycorn Vicik 176 (wifes w/lightweight cores, just retired after 7 seasons use).

You must get to ski a lot of wide open terrain. BGs with Telebindings I have danced around it, but never had the chance to put the two together.

I know it's sacrilegious for On3p's, but Anyone played around with mount point on Jeffrey's (specifically 114, but I'd imagine OG and Kartel 116 respond similarly).

On the line the only way to go? How about 1, 2 cm behind the line?
