Yeah, it's really easy to romanticize Joe's play over those 5 games because (a) no one in Cleveland has ever seen a prettier ball thrown, and (b) the unbelievable couch to starter story and multiple 300+ yard games were just so great it was easy to overlook the arm punts and 3 INT games.
The Browns had to get a backup that fits the offense they are building around their $230MM liability, er quarterback. Unfortunately Joe isn't that style of QB. I wish Joe was back as our starter, hell, I wish Baker was our starter, but this is the world we live in for at least the next 2 seasons.
