Awesome! I figured they had all massively blown out a chunk of mono-cock, or crumbled into a granular, sticky, plastic-y, styrofoam mess. Those skis and binders with the Salomon Integral Equipes (aka: the pink dinks) were all the rage at the shop.

When Salomon came out with skis for the first time, instead of lengths, they had pr, or power ratings, and we're trying to sell skis based on your body weight alone. I remember some of the reps being aggressively adamant about that. Like it didn't matter how tall you were, your leverage on the ski, or how strong a skier you were...if you weighed X amount you were on that designated pr, and that was it. End of conversation. IIRC, Pr9 was the highest (about a 205cm).
[/End Thread Drift and stroll down memory avenue]
Thread drift continues...I have a pair of the euro 1S's (PR7) in the blue/pink/white, it is a pretty cool ski. I will give Salomon credit for trying to size skis (and boots) in unconventional methods that really had some merit to them.
Back on track with some 18/19 goodies...

I had a few pairs of the force Salomon bump skis, and they lasted about 25 days.
Fun though when they were New.

Looks like 22 Designs is working on a new telemark binding with tech fittings. "Telemark...still only 15 years behind the alpine world"

...back on topic!
I had a pair of the Salomon 9E 1S, F9 2S, and F9 3S...all in Pr8 because nobody was going to tell me at 6-2" I didn't deserve a Pr8. AM I RIGHT????
...hell I even had those Salmon colored Equipe boots but then Coop at Kirkwood fitted me in a pair of limited edition stiff screaming yellow Force9 versions. Damn, some fond memories there...
Back to gear rumors
I agree. Im 6’ 210 and running my p18’s at 9 without any pre-release. I love how smooth the metal toe released the few times it has. Mentally id feel more confident running in the middle of the din range apposed to the lower limit. Anyway, I know this has been talked about over and over so ill stop here.

Seeing the throwback K2 graphics reminds me of so many delammed foam cores.

Any Lange spy news, besides Aspen/Ducati edition? Like XT130’s minus the wtFuck soles....
Jesus.
This is like the boost148 fiasco of the ski world.
Will Lange offer a Grip Walk or Alpine replacement for purchase to replace the WTF soles?
Can the WTF adjustable binding toe afd be replaced with a regular non-adjustable alpine afd to remove a moving part with potential for failure?
Does grip walk fit in the WTF binding?
Edit: found it on EVO:
"As of this writing [Sept, 2016], Look’s position with regard to its Dual WTR bindings is that they are compatible with ISO 5355 alpine soles, GripWalk and WTR soles only."
Anyone got a line on BLizzard's big reveal coming this week? Wasatchback you out there?!
not sure if discussed but it looks like Arcteryx is testing a new ski backpack.

I've seen it around the ole Instagram.....looks pretty cool

Industry needs to sort this sh1t out.
I hope that this current boot/binding compatibility debacle leads to a long term widespread solution that works across brands - ya know kinda like DIN soles were for over 25+ years.
But that would make too much sense in a ski industry that (like bike industry) now requires obsolescence to drive sales
SuperLegga has a metal heel lug guard ?! Whats that about FlexionPhil?
two full seasons on my 120s, zero play here.
No it was just my strong belief that an airbag should actually deploy when pulled. Not exactly confidence inspiring when it isn’t working in your living room much less out in the elements. Wrote a very in-depth review on BackCountry and expected to hear from BD but never a word.
yes ski pack not airbag (the Voltair suits me fine btw). Seems to come of some mods their athletes made on the alpha FL ( old concepts from Arrakis series. See more discussion here:
