From what I understand, it's a loooong slog unless you can drive up said road.Quote:

YES it is a LONG slog to get to bloody from just off Sherwin rd. That's where the snows at now.Quote:

V Lakes is way cool. But still access, unless they plow out the road to the lake. I'll check on it on the way down. Was just there last week, like 5 ? mile approach to Dunderberg. Good turns and terrain just transistional snow. Black mtn. looks NICE and STEEP. Near Mammy, McGee is right off the road and might be ok, Laurel is on my wish list. Something by Convict lake, day trip from lot? Or McGee Cr? Maybe up towards the crest?? We can roshambo to decide where, when we know who's in and what the snows lookin like. :cussing:
Totally sweet. All the suckers that don't like it are suckers and should be ignored.Quote:

Screw it, I'm going. I don't yet have the pleasure of knowing anybody here, and I hardly post, but it just sounds like too much fun. Plus I have an April 30 birthday, which seems like the new pink this year.Quote:

Arty, I'm right there with ya.
I've never had a chance to tour around mammoth and that sounds...sooooooooooo tempting right now! Plus with all that base, hopefully some good ol' California sunshine and some nice corn (or pow???) harvesting!
On a side note (that I wish I knew on my previous Mammoth trip  ),
anyone with Intrawest passes or discount cards at other resorts gets between a 25% and 50% hookup on tix.
I'd be down for a Sunday tour, since, well, I can't make it until Friday night. As to where, doesn't really matter to me.Quote:

I like Duct's - it's straightforward and funny and easy to print.
Other votes?
We have a great sticker (tuffy's) and (I think) a great drinking pass (Duct's) - who's doing the printing?
take a look in the mirror
huh? is that supposed to be funny or just mean?Quote:

Don't hesitate, just go. I mean, c'mon, there's a crapload of snow and everyone there is good peops. Well, except maybe that tuffy guy, he's pretty much just an asshole.Quote:

And the drinking pass -- everyone could print that out at home and bring it. Laminate it if you want at your local kinkos. Let's just decide which one to use.
The company that did the EC Mini stickers treated us well and the cost was reasonable I believe. I'd be willing to look into it and get 'er done.
Like CS said above. I barely know most of these clowns going, but I do know one thing- It's gonna be a ton of fun with so many people going.Quote:

I mentioned it to MrNohills and his response was "Drive 3 hours?" :cussing: :rolleyes:Quote:

My offer for driving Bay Area types still stands. No stickers or laminates required.
Mammoth is more than worth the effort. Many people make a much longer drive to ski Mammoth for good reason.Quote:

Mammoth's pretty good for a variety of abilities in that there's almost always an easy way down in close proximity to the tougher stuff. Therefore, it's pretty easy to meet up with the not-so-good skiers at the a chairlift. If you can get down a groomed, single black diamond, then you can ride any lift and get to the same places that the rest of the crew is heading to.
Also, you gotta remember that this is spring skiing. It's a different mentality... It's much more of a party atmosphere then your typical mid-winter powder day. I think you're worrying too much!

I'm too lazy to read through 9 pages of tuffy and yoga flirting, and I'm too poor to spend a ton of money on lodging. So what's the scoop? Is there a condo I can get in on? Is someone looking to split a Motel 6 room?
(I figure I can be all demanding like this, since I organized the condo for the first annual Maggot Mini way back 2003.)
