    Mammoth Mini 4/28-5/1

Splat and I have called it in chat. Official date for the mini, April 28 (thursday) through Sunday, May 1.

Get your butts to Mammoth, it'll be rocking. I'll plan a party and help arrange lodging (I can get a great deal on a couple condos). Also, we can plan carpools from SF, LA and Reno.

I'll most likely be there. Planning on some serious b/c., Matterhorn, Mt. Emerson & maybe Mt. Tom, in the daze before this mini summit.
After being there a couple weeks ago, I miss Mammy already

I will try to be there. Those dates are just a few weeks short of when my doc is giving me ski clearance....but I got time, and can make a lot of rehab progress until then...so we'll see........

I'd be very interested in doing some backcountry the days preceeding the mini. Please keep me in the loop! I'm hungry for some hiking!! Let's do Mt. Tom.

I figure that with all of us Season Pass holders at Mammoth, we've got to have at least 10 Bring A Friend coupons -- I'll donate my two, to start things off. It makes the lift ticket $36 instead of 60something and up to 3 people can use one coupon (but you have to a buy multi-day ticket on Friday and no later).

Come on PNWers and ECers and anyone skunked this year -- get your butt to Mammoth!

    PSA:
LAX is twice as far away as RNO.
LAS is the same distance as LAX, but flights are often much cheaper.
And Mammoth spring skiing is the shit.

With this year's excellent snowpack and an earlier summit date, a lot more of the mountain should be skiable than last year.

I am also up for some east side touring.

First run of the day right to the Top of the World; that's what we call a "backcountry warm-up". Hike up and drop in. Add a Pilsner? OK, I'm game.
I'll have to put in an apperance because I think the entertainment value that week will be pretty high!

I'm planning on representing the PacNW/South Coast
May need some help figuring out lodging options. Not sure if anyone else will be driving with me so might have to look into flights to RNO/LAX (LAS is trouble- I don't need to spend any more time there )
