It's pathetic that this whole thing was probably based on rumors, and it's pathetic that cm chose to hide behind an alias.

Everyone has their own dirty laundry, and its unfortunate that DW's had to come out to her friends and family the way it did. Shmoe never asked for the money, and I don't think he owes us anything more than an occasional (better yet frequent) update on how he's doing.

I have sent 'concerned maggots' a PM with his answers. He knows the whole truth of the situation now. I don't think there will be any trouble from CM after he reads the PM. There is nothing true about me that he could divulge that could hurt my reputation any. Anything he *thinks* he knows that could do that would be a lie that he picked up from someone else.

Shmoe was accountable to 'cm' when he shouldn't have ever had to be. 'cm' at least owes Doug the courtesy of revealing himself, and IMO should also be accountable to everyone here and reveal himself after trying to drag both Shmoe and DW's names through the mud.

I thinks it's only fair that CM reveals who he/she is to you. If CM breaks the trust you have shown him/her then you can out CM if you wish.

This has nothing to do with BC.com or the money and I'm glad Shmoe has posted.

I don't know any rumors, I have not heard them at work, so please don't think that this is where these so called rumors came from. I want you to use that $$$ however you see fit, because we donated to someone who lost their wife in an unexpected way. And I do agree that calling Doug out here in public is not right. I do not know who did it, but it should be something that should have been done in private, so I'm ashamed this has been out here like this.

Wow, I am disappointed in the person who started this thread and really all who decided that they wanted/needed to know the info. I gave just a tiny bit of $ after reading both of the posts that were cited as the genisis for this, lamest of threads. And you know what? Yes, it made me curious but it wasn't like it took that much effort to master my gossipy urges. I certainly never contemplated PM'ing Shmoe or *gasp* starting a thread about it, sheesh. It's not like it'd be that hard to be able to call one of the mags that you know has full details, especially for the utards.

My cash was freely given to be freely used by someone going through an incredibly difficult time regardless of the shit surrounding the why's and wherefore's. Shmoe- I apologize that you even had to deal with this bullshit and think that you've handled yourself above and beyond.
