No pass, just a bunch of ski cards, Sunshine, Lake Louise, maybe Kicking Horse. Wish Castle had one.
Looking for a little longer fat's at this years ski sale, if I find some I'll use them for AT and put my downhill binders back on the Mad Trix, otherwise I just use them for everything.
Really would like to get a 4-wheel drive, high ground clearance and do some exploring, but that looks doubtfull.
Same scene as last year for me.
JH Pass & Targhee Pass. Any maggots out there that wants to put up with my gaper steeze give me a holer. I usually can get a few runs in each day.
Give you a "holer"? Gee, froz, I didn't know you cared.Quote:

Because you're a dumb cunt that obviously doesn't know that there's deep snow in Colorado. When you decide to quit pounding bumps on your Spats at Eldora, look me up.Quote:

gear? new beacon (maybe), Adrenalins (maybe)
trips? ski - JH, Utah, Sierra hut trips. non-ski: Australia (turkey week), India/Nepal (Xmas, may ski)
pass: all east college
gear: head mojos
trips: sölden, st. anton, la grave, utah/jackson hole
Pass: Aspen Full Pass (Ajax, Snowmass, Highlands, Buttermilk) free from work. Still deliberating as to whether I want the Vail Resorts 5 Mountain for East Vail and Beaver Creek Stashes.
New Gear: Always...
hopefully i can get a very part time job and score a free pass, if not then i know that despite my depressing financial status i'll be forking over for a big mountain pass. the folks i've spoken to around these parts tell me that fernie isn't too far away, which should be cool. i'd also like to get down to the snowbowl, and over to turner.
i'd like to get into backcountry stuff now that i'm finally living outside of the broadcast area of the steelers radio network, but will have to see how this unfolds. that kind of gear looks like stuff that one should not cheap out on. also, i'd like to treat myself to some avy classes or somesuch before venturing outside of the ropes. no new skis, gear or stuff purchases otherwise due to budgetary constraints.
i predict that i'm going to have one of my best seasons ever, regardless of the weather or if i only get to ride now and then. big mountain is visible from almost everywhere in town, just kind of off in the distance... waiting. let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Pass: Jay Peak! Starting college at Johnson State in Jan. so gettin the cheapo student rate. $300ish? Only taking 12 credits so should have 4 days a week off! Shweeet.
New gear: 180 Volkl T-Rocks w/ R8s (thankyou rontele!)$250
would like some thermo liners for the T-1 s
Existing quiver: 186 02-03 stolki asteroids w/freerides
183 03-04gotams w/ freerides(might throw some R8 on these), 04-05 Denali Xt's, 186 fisher big stix 84 w/ G3s
Wicked stoked!
Pass - mad river glen
equipment - liners for my AT boots, new skins and poles
I've been reading this thread, but a little hesitant to post about gear because I'm still not quite sure what I'm doing. In a perfect world, Pat would hook me up with short bros :D but I've gotta figure something out in the meantime. My 173 Explosivs are being sent to Volkl and if I'm lucky enough to get warranty, I'll replace them with Karmas and put alpine binders on them and use them for inbounds. As for my regular rig, I'm looking at Stocklis and Tankers which will have freerides. /toomuchinformation
For passes, I'll get the Colorado Pass. Still thinking about the Loveland pass. I may not get it this year since I'll be working at A Basin and should get hooked up that way.
AltaBird
Hopefully, new gear will be minimal. I already have my two pairs of spats, with one setup with freerides. HA! Heavy? You bet. Super Fucking Awesome for going downhill? No doubt. Good thing I don't live in Colorado where I'd never be able to use them.
A bunch of my friends have them and can hardly stand how they ride in Colorado. Just the wrong place for that kind of ski.Quote:

I need new alpine boots: Atomics, por favor.
I sort of need new supa light touring skis: used PR's or something light like that
I really want new freight trains like Stocklli SS's or Mantras or Legend Pros
I need new pantalones, too.
I don't need no stinkin' pass. :yourock:

need my boots fitted
Smuggs pass
need medium freerides and 90mm skins
everything else is set to go
I will be sporting a Brighton pass for sure, probably tacking on a full Soli pass (as we've heard a rumor of a deal for that) - if not, I'll buy something for a soli pass anyway, since I can ski any days.
If the $500 friends/family deal pops up again for the Bird like it did last year, I may do that as well.
may renew my canyons pass anyway, it's so damn cheap. Or not. Maybe I'll just go Powder cat skiing a lot more this year, since i'm on the any time, space avail. comp list :D
For gear, I just bought some schweet used freerides from Grizzle6(thanks again!) to add to my new PhatLuvs that I got from Bear for my (spring) birthday and haven't used yet. friggin torture to look at them all summer. I had to buy a damn bike to make up for it;)
So I just need skins, touring boots. So we'll be hitting the BD sale for sure.
also need an avy shovel + some actual avy skills. Level I training, anyone?
but other than that, I'm kinda set for awhile. my board's in decent shape. I probably won't upgrade boots until next year. I don't really *need* anything. just want a lot of shit.
and oh yea, maybe a freakin pair of short BROs:)
I really want those....
Aspen Pass, todays the last day of super early discount.
Skideeppow hooked me up with free boots, thanks bro.
New Rossi 161 Premier, Soli Defcons.
I haven't teled in years, but if got some new gear I could shralp the gnar at Buttermilk.
Boooyah. Scored.
I just got a screamin' deal on a brand spankin' new pair of Dynastar Legend 8800s with Look P12 FR Wide bindings.
Now I just need to (re)learn how to put them to good use. :D
