Where are you getting your pass this year and any new gear?

Where are you getting your season pass this year, and what kind of new gear are you getting?

My pass will be at Alta/Bird this year.

Having a pass at Alta means I need to get some skis for my knuckledragging self. Ski boots have been acquired at Sniagrab, now I need to get the whole skis/bindings/poles situation figured out. Leaning toward the Dynastar Legend 8000's.

If I have any cash left, I may have to snag a new Never Summer board, probably the Premier T5 for those deep Bird days at about 163-165 cm.

    And you?

    Pass: the utah B/C
new gear: rollers for my bike to keep me from committing suicide on a trainer when I can't ride outside.

That said, I'll probably get as many B/C days this year as I used to get resort days. 50 I hope, but realistically much less.

Haven't quite decided yet. Either Ata pass and no new boots (which are desperately needed) or no Alta pass, new boots, and lots of touring with Seasonallyconfusedphil.

Debating the whole pass issue with myself:

    1. Pass is $600.
    2. If I teach, I get free pass - but I have to commit to 32 lessons. Screw that.
    3. I'll be gone for one month in Europe
    4. If I buy a pass, I'll ski more inbounds.
    5. If I don't buy a pass, I'll ski more outbounds.
    6. If I don't buy a pass, I'll ski more new areas.
    7. If I teach part-time, I'll get free tickets.

Ordering the Alta/Bird pass as soon as I find out my bro is moving there, probably around middle November.

Already got my new gear for the year - 2 pair of Beast mounted with 916s. Still got to get the new helmet painted though...

Heh, you can help me shred the green circle gnar gnar with the 5 year olds at Alta while I master the art of wedge turns again.

I haven't skied with any regularity since shaped skis came out - been on the single plank since then. This season should be interesting on two boards.

No pass, but I've never bought a pass.

No new gear, I've got a good quiver of one, and I won't have the time for much skiing anyway.

Pass at Alta and DTM and I will have new BC setups so many days will be spent out of the resort as well.

Skiing the Seth Vicious and getting some new rossi race 9.2 boots-hopefully!My current boots are 5 seasons old, yuck.

I get my gear from work. It rules.

Pass: ASpen Snowmass (I love my job, shhh don't tell anyone, but the past three years i have been able to get a free season pass for working either part time, or part of the year. Sweetness)

Tickets: Probably Bridger, Big Sky/Moonlight Telluride, Crested Butte, we'll see where else

New gear: AK Rockets Swallow Labs (still need to find some 916's or something bigger for a binding)
I need to find a nice bomber full face helmet, like a giro mad max or something,
I have Some 661 body armor in the mail
And i still want to get a nice big fat twin tip.

Im up at Beaver again this year, since I am moving. Have $260 pass, have touring gear, just looking for the time.

Buy me an Alta ticket and I am there.

    Pass: Mt. Rose and Kirkwood
Gear: Spatulas and Bro Models (probably soft; still need to check in w/ Splat on this), and some bindings.

Also acquired backcountry gear over the summer, so will be getting out of the resorts more too. All I need to do now is stay healthy and hope that gas prices don't hit $4.

Alpental (bless theirt souls, credited last years suckbag season).
    Crystal
    ...and heh....

No new equipment. Instead, I'll plumb the depths of the reserves to mount the cached stiff BROs with cached Freerides and use the cached new flexons (thanks Alta Powder House).

I'm hoping I'll be getting a Snowbasin season pass (move dependant). If not, I'll get the CO five mountain. Lot's of day passes to LCC and BCC I'm sure. Hopefully a Jackson run as well. Maybe some heli fuel too.

As far as gear goes...I'm fully stocked. 4 sets of skis, BC set-up, new clothing, new full-face, even a few sets of bindings waiting for the next skis to the quiver. If a good deal were to come along I might upgrade my pack, pick-up some back protection, and may need to replace my boots at the end of this season, but that would be it.

Baby #2 on the way so the compromise was to get a Canyons pass to maximize ski time versus hour plus drive to B. Cottonwood.

Picked up some new Gotama's to replace the trashed XXX's.
