Europe has provided more total aid than America. And by percentage of GDP America only ranks mid-pack. So there's been a lot of "change." Ukraine was also winning by destroying the Russian economy along with Russian weapons supplies, ammunition depots and fuel refineries using long range drones before Trump bailed Putin out.

If it could be stated in one sentence, what is the suitable endgame for this war? Other than Trump dying of a massive stroke in the next minute or two.

You answered your own question i.e. who wants to defend "anyway,." Defending Taiwan through deterrence, peace through strength and alliances, is how you prevent a catastrophe. The stupidity of letting Putin march through Europe and Xi sail through Pacific island chains is a recipe for WWIII
