Yeah I guess I’m not up to speed either on that stuff. My guess is you rip the glass fenders but the guard protects the tub. Maybe if there are tight trails with like rock faces or trees angled in tough spots. Sure looks like it hasn’t been tested much lol but hard to blame em on what’s probably a daily.

I DD’d an 81 CJ and it was like always this balancing act of not fucking shit up but still wheeling. not because you had to complete the trail but because you needed the fucker to get you to school and work.

I dig the attention to detail; in retrospect the biggest give away for me should have been the side moulding. Though I’m surprised I noticed the snorkel.

I have a soft spot for race/movie/TV replicas.

Always wanted to do Brody’s K5 Amity PD truck.

Some dude with some bucks did make that happen sure he wasn’t the first.

I'm so torn on that one.^ On one hand, it is beyond category. But on the other, it clearly was not motivated by fashion - like negative style points. Some trashed out tarps? A custy metal leaf rake and a broom? Street tires on the truck? Stuff that appears.....to be used.

I don't know what to do with it.

Is it just me or is the idea of strapping all this plastic stuff to the exterior of your vehicle a horrible idea?

Are the traction plates really so UV stable that they can sit on your vehicle all year and still be useable when it comes time to drive on them?

IME - even “UV stable” plastics don’t last very long when exposed to day in and day out weather and sun.

I also find it interesting that on balance the Australians seem to have gone the other direction with 4x4 style. Much more oriented towards having stuff in an enclosed space with dedicated, custom boxes to replace pick up beds, etc. They certainly have stuff on the outside, but not nearly as much as this current trend in the US.

On the other hand…

I spent 6 hours with the kids in the car to go camping last weekend. Any tips on mounting a car seat to a bumper or roof rack so I don’t have to listen to the whining? My Subaru is dark blue, so please consider a matching color scheme in your submission.
