z...not sure if you heard anything further but skis on my doorstep are imminent...
sooo... z....
its december 1st...
So. Right now they are sitting at the SLC airport waiting to get through customs. From there they should ship out monday. That's the first batch (hopefully I/we are in that). The second batch should be on the same schedule for the following week. I was told no matter what it should be within 2 weeks. No matter how impatient I get it's probably a good thing now that we are getting some coverage. Already have a ski casualty this year.
Psyyyyyched.
saw a pair in store here in innsbruck. they seemed to be flat with no (or very very little) rocker or camber whatsoever..
edit: and yeah they were 193s
I just heard from a somewhat reliable source that these must be close to shipping. They are starting to charge people for employee/pro orders placed a while ago.....
by moose. no bulls here.
and it was a cow, not a bull. ;-)
Reminds me of a joke about 2 Canukians at a bar playing 20 questions. Stop me if you have heard this one........ :D
No one has heard it? Well here it is......
Two Canadians are sitting around in a bar bored out of their minds. One of them comes up with a bright idea, they'd try a guessing game.
So one of them thinks and thinks and nothing is coming to his mind except moosecock.
So his buddy asks him, "hey, did you think of a word yet?"
He smirks and says, "Yeah, I guess so."
"So is it edible?"
"Yeah," he laughs, "I guess you could eat it."
"Is it moosecock?"
nice, 'fess... i have heard that one before but was out. :)
on a positive note, i got a tracking # for my EHPizzles.
where are they being made? I thought in canada?
Talked to the rep again, mine are coming on Tuesday. :fmicon:
if anyone has an extra pair, or doesn't like them, PM me....

you should prolly skip an hour of work so you can go home to pick them up and mount them after. seriously.
ps: what are you doing tomorrow?
semi undecided. make my mind up for me.
currently 60% OF VOTERS are pointing towards iron cross and marshal's powder stash
cereal?
oh shit. t-ing up some sweet OTR sugar/blower? ice-bumps? what happened?
we should prolly just go hucking then and get totally after it. just a thought.
Z's skis are soon to come...stoked for you homie! Can't wait to see them in acshin!
my EHPs are sitting in a box at home...but i can't get there for another 2h or so... argh!
will post pics.
just got home to a box....figured i'd post some pics for y'all.
first off, the box is looking pristine. here's the total "packaging" inside:
http://64.62.221.49/tgr/ehp193/packaging.jpg
slipping 'em out of the plastic reveals this:
http://64.62.221.49/tgr/ehp193/ehp193-front.jpg
can't really tell due to the poor light, but they have a very slick texture -- might prevent snow from sticking to the surface which is valuable on a board this big.
http://64.62.221.49/tgr/ehp193/texture.jpg
they don't have much camber:
http://64.62.221.49/tgr/ehp193/camber1.jpg
in fact, at their point of max separation there's about 7mm (or less) between them= ~3-3.5mm camber.

i'll put 'em on the scale tomorrow. probably won't ride them for a bit as we need at least 2 more storms for good coverage, and i haven't yet decided what i'll put on them. (prolly nx21s)
'night.
hey upallnight, weren't these supposed to be 0 camber? wasn't that what they were fixing? so first run, way too much camber, second try, just a little too much.
They're getting closer at least.
yep....kinda seems more like the camber profile of the ehp 190 (from what i've read...never saw a 190, though.
particle posted this a while back (quoting eric hjornameicantquitespell):
"This ski has been developed from my experiences skiing in big mountain environments. Often I was skiing in situations when I needed to point it and outrun sloughs and avie slides. I wanted to create a tool catered to one concept: skiing at high speeds through variable snow conditions. This ski has some very unique design features: zero camber, minimal sidecut. The first 25cm of the tip and last 15cm of the tail have reverse/neutral sidecut. This enables the ski to be very stable and forgiving at high speed: The tip doesn't hook up to force your turn to end. A 25cm gradual tip radius provides ample flotation. This design floats on top of the snow instead of plowing through it. The last 15cm of the tail has a slight reverse camber shape, which allows you to butter your turns or ditch speed by kicking your heels out when you really need to shut it down.
The gradually designed tips allow for this ski to retain a stiff flex pattern throughout the entire ski. This creates a super stable platform to ride all types of snow. Unlike a twin tip tail design, the minimal reverse camber retains the ski's stiffness and doesn't "wheelie" out of big landings, which results in control when it counts." -Eric Hjorleifson
Holy shit they look sexy!
really stoked and happy for you to finally get some of the skis you've ordered.
Got em. Fucking.Sick.
Seem to have the perfect flex for me. Stiff, but not super stiff. Stiff tail for sure, which is very important. Pretty soft at the tip which will only increase the rockered float feeling. VERY similiar to Marshal's lotus 120s.
Construction looks money. Black 916s go on asap.
