^ Ha, Pink Floyd 3 rivers, now that I think about tit, we caught the atlanta stop for that. Bobby dodd stadium @ ga tech. I recall they four banks of speakers, obviously one at the stage, one at the opposent enzone, and 2 at the top of the stadium at the 50 yard line either side. Remember how the clocks at the start of Time zoomed around the stadium. Bought the tickets from a "ticket service" where you went to a store front and paid cash over the counter for paper tickets. Thought that at $165 for both tickets, I was getting totally ripped off. they were on about the 50 yard line, with the stage at about the 20 yard line.

For example, Pink Floyd? They peaked well before the Wall. That was what? 1980.... No doubt seeing them in concert was awesome but what were they playing from the 90s?

Yeah there was a bunch of music in the 90s and if you were the right age it made a lasting mark on your life. Same with the 60s, 70s and 80s.

I had moved to Big Sky in 91 and the top of the charts in our locker room was Back in Black- AC/DC..... released in 1980. Up to that point I DNGAF about AC/DC but its now part of my soundtrack we all carry in our heads.

That's very possible. I try to listen to everything: old, really old, really, really old, new, edge-pushing new, etc. And it's fun to listen to new things, but it's difficult to stay on top of what's currently considered cool (and with which group).

Yeah, absolutely. I care what they think about my favorite music as much as they care about what I think about theirs. It's always been like this.

But I can't deny that sometimes, just like putting on some really old shoes perfectly molded to your feet or old jeans with wear marks made by years of wearing them, or eating some comfort food, listening to the music that blew my mind the first time I heard it in high school makes me feel happy.

Edit to add: There's some amazing new music. What comes to mind when thinking of modern music that I dislike is reggaeton. It's hugely popular, but to me it sounds very monotonous, I can listen to a song or two and I get tired of it.

Mushrooms and X files for me and my (5 hot women) housemates in the communal room with a $9 large 1 topping pizza. Every week.
