Your last paragraph is most important, but I don't agree that Obvious (or anyone else born biologically a man) is necessarily, "deep down inside," a man. I was born biologically a man and I identify with that, but I can imagine someone born biologically a man who doesn't, who identifies with the biology of a woman. Perhaps that person can't have a period or get pregnant, but there are other aspects of female biology that they can attain. Hey leroy, you should read Middlesex by Geoffrey Eugenides. It's a great book, I think you'd find it interesting.
If you guys knew anything about biology, you would know that after conception that we all basically start off as females. It's the addition of testosterone after the formation of the gonads in the mothers womb that "changes" us to males....

It appears things for them have become very muddled, but in hearing about transgenders, I still see most of them focusing on social constructs of behavior and dress more than biology. No matter what they say or claim, if their focus is on societal norms and a popular idea of how the sexes should behave, then I have to believe that they are just confused. Gender identity change is certainly nothing new... personally I don't have a stake in this issue or what two (or more! lol) consenting adults decide to do sexually.
