I've been sneaking in some lunchtime runs at alpine doing the same. I've skied more hardpack this year than every other year of skiing combined. (all 3 of them)Quote:

This could be one of those storms where I'm either really glad to be at Mammoth (higher elevation) or really sad (moisture goes north).

Thursday: Snow and rain. blahblahblahblah....with gusts up to 85 mph over ridges
The 7K snowline will be good for base building.
7 to 8k snow levels would actually be perfect. Sad we are talking about base building in February but so true.
