Snow stake buried again!

Sierra and Rendevous today with plenty of crowds I'm sure. I'm bringing out the snowshoes but I'm looking forward to hearing about it.
Last Wednesday I did hot laps on Exelerator until it was chewed up (4 laps) and then I started poking around in the woods.
There is so much I still don't know on the front side, like for the first time I skied the woods from below the top of flyer chair down to timberline chair. So nice! I don't even know the name, but it was the woods between American Flyer (blue run) and Woodwinds. Then I got myself into a bit of a bind dropping into the woods above I Dropper. Reminded me of Chicken Alley at Loveland, except more vert.
Anyway it's a fun time of year to be dinking around on the front side, ropes are actually few and far between.
Well I'm wondering who went skiing this weekend.
I went last week, MWF, and mostly thrashed myself in the bumps. The weather was perfect and the bumps were firm. Also skied Spalding bowl, pretty good on Monday and tough conditions on Wednesday and booted up to the top of Union peak on Friday with better snow but not ideal by any stretch.
I’m here now. Will report later. I have very low expectations.

In general, anything ungroomed is hard and chalky. Groomed is loose snow patches mixed with slick areas. My edges as sharp as bowling balls made the day adventurous.
The trees sucked horribly.
