Powderhouse did indeed slide (today), but only in the recent storm snow. Nothing below the rain layer.

soooo, we are not out of the woods yet. Anyone care to discuss some of the inbounds slides or the 89 slide today?
So we have a denser top layer after this round of storms?

Yesterday observations in Deep Creek (between Squaw and I80), near Watson Lake and in Negro Canyon (Donner Summit), and in Third Creek (Mt. Rose) all showed a dense heavy layer of snow resting on top of a lighter layer of older snow.

Rain... More snow.... goodbye PWL... hello storm and wind slabs. More snow. More snow. More snow. More snow. Faster stabilizing like we're back in a maritime snowpack again. Watch out for wind loading. That pretty much cover it? Glad to see the heavier snow towards the end of this cycle isn't appearing to cause as many problems as it could have.
But seriously, this spring is going to be awesome.
