during winter, you can always put more clothes on; can't keep taking clothes off during the summer(unless maybe youre staying w/ micheal jackson).
First off, powder days RULE. Nothing beats the anticipation you have as you wait to go (be it in the Park n'Ride lot eating egg sandwiches and watching Xover get ready to drive with one boot on, pulling your skis from the truck with the skins already on and looking up, or skiing up to a closed gate with a patroller ready to drop it). But, I have to say, summer can be a nice break to make those other days that much more special.
This past weekend, we rode our dirt bikes until sunset (didn't see one friggin person), rode cool XC mountain bike trails in Park city and then had a few beers sitting out on Main St with friends, rode some sweet DH trails as we prepare for the first Utah State series race in two weeks, worked on my truck, worked on our house / lawn, drank coffee on the deck as the sun was coming up (wearing an Alta Hoody cause it was cold  ) and saw a great movie last night. I don't know about you guys but I friggin really enjoyed myself this weekend. We leave for four days in Moab at the end of the week and I'm all giddy again. In the meantime, we are going to ride the trails that are open everyday after work, grill turkey burgers / drink PBRs once we get home and repeat the next day.
Think of yourself as a solar charged battery and you are in the recharge mode. Keep your cells full of PBR when the sand starts to seep out and Xover, for Christ sake, .....
GET A FREAKIN' BIKE (come to Moab this weekend with us, ride all morning, climb all afternoon, stare at the stars and fire until the PBRs drive you to bed, Laugh a lot, repeat).
the best way to beat the summer blues IMO is to get a job that you work 70+ hours a week and make enough money to not work in the winter
