What are the correct colors for enduro?
can't be doin no kickouts with no space to kick!
Total bike jong here, just getting back into the sport after riding rigid single track as a kid in the early 90's.
Am I an idiot to take a 2011 Trek Scratch Air 8 to the Whistler bike park 4-5 times a season? It's built up a bit, Fox 36 180 Vanilla fork, new Hope Evo II hubs and Stan's Arches EX wheels, Continental Mountain King tubeless tires, XT brakes.
Not doing anything rad, small jumps only, but is slamming over the brake bumps and rocks at 205lbs bodyweight going to blow up suspension and wheels that much faster than trail riding? The speed is obviously higher on a lot of the park trails I guess.
Wheels are the weak spot on that bike
Waddup Flowtron, have you ridden the new Nomad? Feel like I remember you being on a few Santa Cruz bikes and your opinion was always pretty in tune with what I thought. If so, what do you think?

Nope, I have not seen or been near a new one. My thought is that it's a little niche-y in the aggro EuroEnduro/F1 kinda way. I'm sure it's fun as shit, but probably a bit much for most peoples' everyday riding.
I'm a Knolly fanboi/operative these days. Wasn't crazy about the Chilcotin, I love the shit out of my Endorphin. Will be procuring a Warden sight unseen midsummer, I have faith.
Are the Warden's out at this point? Or is the first batch showing up mid-summer?

Now I have to make fart noises when I do trail kickouts?
Oh wait I kind of already do that.

I got to fondle an unbuilt nomad frame last night. Like the newer carbon v10s, those things look solid as hell.
Cool, thanks for the input! That Knolly Warden looks sick(that XL looks big)! Short stays and long front end are becoming a little more commonplace these days, glad Santa Cruz moved this direction. Jumping off of a Bronson, which fricking rips to try a Newmad in June. Will see which of the two is the keeper and sell the other. 65 degree head angle may be a bit slack but I adjusted to climbing my versions 1 and 2 without thinking about it so predicting it will be less of an issue than I may think here on the internet. Such fun bikes to choose from now, lots of sweet options.
