I've got an in-law that had the GS? version of that new-ish Regal. 6MT and it went like hell.
His family gave him so much shit (small, couldn't fit kids car seats, 2 dogs and disapproving looks from the wife) he traded it in after a couple years.
We bought a 2011 (I think ) Regal that sucked ass, in a bad way. I traded it in on the Impreza. The automatic transmission was starting to slip soon after we acquired it. It was way underpowered and uncomfortable to drive with horrible design quirks.
And those cars have a sealed transmission. You are supposed to get it dealer serviced every 50k mi or less. With over 100k mi, I'm guessing it hadn't been done, ever. The car also had probably been in an unreported accident or flood or both, which isn't Buick's problem. None of that was evident until we got to know the car. The backseat would fill up with water. I'm so glad to have seen the back of it. Subaru gave me a run around, didn't really want to take it in trade and I don't blame them. I wasn't about to private sale it.
Heh, I'd probably kill myself with a GSX. All go, no turn or stop = bad for a guy that giggles when his passengers squirm. I forgot about the Roadmaster, if it's one with the LS I'd think about it for a minute but I'd have to get rid of something to make enough room in the driveway. The early skywagon like the Buick Special or Vista Cruiser are more my thing (although the VC is also really long) but with a 455 and Muncie M22 it's a beastly beast and a road trip bruiser. Even though a Fit is at the top of my list I truly do despise front wheel drive but I like little cars and I need high mpg and ultimately modern safety and serviceability will win this round (when I've put together enough $$).Quote:
