Yeah, Lee Mavers is a bit of an enigma. The story is he was a perfectionist and was unsatisfied with how the album turned out (despite the fact it was really good). The La's were in the music press a lot from about 1988-1990 and then Mavers sort of disappeared without a trace. No follow-up album ever came out. I think they reunited and played one of the big summer music festivals in the UK in the mid '00s, but that was about it. What a waste. The guy was clearly a talented songwriter and musician.Quote:
