IME, you’ll be throwing a lot of FFs out of your house…..When I left, our Department was at just under 50% vaccine compliant, and I’m pretty sure that falls in line with the national average for first responders……Which truly boggles my mind. That being said, there is no fucking excuse for anyone showing up on respiratory call unmasked. That’s bullshit, and I had to personally issue reprimands for that type of nonsense. Another day of +100k cases for the US without Florida numbers. They haven’t reported in 3 days (at least on worldometer). Any idea WTF is up with that? Are they now suppressing the data?

I think they stopped reporting daily because they didn't want to know the answer. They rely on the CDC now to document their COVID cases. And yes, they're suppressing data and have been the whole time.

ETA: a 7-day average of 141 deaths.

I think even in Sisters there are more people for masks at school than are against...and I hope that the school boards know that. Plus, it's such a minimal thing to do, even if it's only partially effective at protecting kids/teachers, its something. What's the downside?

This town has a small but very vocal contingent of PAVErs - People Against Virtually Everything. Many also believe that their status as Vietnam Era Veterans gives their opinions extra weight

Just in case anyone is wondering I wouldn't actually throw the EMT's out and let my wife die unless I found the dishwasher loaded wrong or the ketchup in the fridge.

Did he have anything to say about kids who aren’t vaccinated? That’s of personal concern for me.
