For Alta/Bird I'd personally go with the first one, and wouldn't rule out the Cease and Desists instead of the Billygoats. Why not go big if you ski somewhere that legitimately gets big dumps? I have wren 96s and they rule but they do like to ski fast and hard all the time. They aren't difficult to ski, but they really want to chew up vertical. I think the Woodsman 108 would be a bit more versatile as a daily driver than the wren 108s, and better for taking air off all the various hits at Alta. I should be back at Alta next winter, and will be rocking Wren 96, Deathwish, and (hopefully) Cease and Desists as my three ski inbound quiver.
