Anyone have experience with Board and Care homes in California? Specifically looking for a way to escalate an issue to Social Services beyond the reporting links available on their website.
I don’t have direct experience ^ but my MIL has been dealing with that kind of thing for her husband, I can ask her.
If it is an issue of possible abuse or neglect contact the county adult protective services office. Or is that what you've already tried.Quote:

Sorry for your families loss GL. Dying is just part of life and we all won the lottery of birth to even be here, so returning to our prior state while painful to the survivors is often a blessing. Take care.

Condolences Buzzworthy. My Mom passed due to liver and kidney failure, once she went unresponsive she didn’t come back out. Turning off the machines was a hard choice for Dad and the family.
When I told her I was here her eyes opened huge and she definitely knew I was there. My parents needed me here. They aren’t doing great themselves. Time to go to work.

Sorry about this Buzz. At close to end of life my Dad did a lot of things that were pretty hurtful to us kids. Looking back, I can't say that he was conscious of us or how Mum felt. Here for you
