That is actually pretty good.

Depressing that we're all excited because the map says that maybe, just maybe, our odds of getting precipitation in the next week or so are average. Especially since that "precipitation" sounds like it's once again going to be a couple of inches that'll blow off in high winds, at least in central/northern Colo.
Luckily, I have a nice bottle of Carpano Antica at home to keep my spirits up.
the "B" stands for butthurt
This was posted on 12/1/11 showing a >33% chance for above average ppt for Dec-February. So far, it's way fucking off. And if I recall correctly, every short/long term forecast map this season has consistently shown CO to have an equal chance of average ppt. So bottom line, those fucking maps mean jack shit.
I am so excited that I booked a trip for this weekend and next week. So happy I sold my last pair of groomer skis this fall and all I have is powder boards. I am going to be the only retard at Breck next week with 193 EHPs :(. At least my wife is looking forward to groomer blasting as she is still learning to ski. On the bright side - hopefully this trip will help her to love skiing even more.
What else can I do fun in Breck other than get wasted every night?
This was NOAA's other map on their site.

Last year every time I clicked on this thread it made me stoked and had a good outlook for more snow. Every time I click on this thread this year I die a little inside.....
I'm actually more interested in seeing how bad it can get. I'll be telling my grandchildren horror stories about the year it never snowed. Hopefully they'll be super scared because they live in a future where it snows a thousand inches a year. Wait, nevermind, Fuck those kids, they would probably sit home all day playing video games anyway. ULLR! Make it snow now!
Pleas to ullr are clearly not helping......I think he's a sissy.
montanaskier already tried the butthurt ullr callouts a couple weeks ago. Nothing changed. Well, we're mostly more butthurt now but you know what I mean.
I'm actually kind of with shredgnar. If it isn't going to get good (or at least "pretty decent") I'm interested to see how bad it could be. Wonder if this predicted pattern change will actually come through this time.
Things look a bit more interesting for Saturday and Saturday night. I think the best snow west of the divide (Vail, Aspen) should fall between about noon Sat and 10pm Sat. Then N or NE winds take over. At best and with a little luck, 6" could fall. 4" is a safer estimate. Foothills east of the divide could once again win with 8" or so.
Can you still get a refund on the Epic pass with a doctors note?
Group buy to pay off a doctor? Vet? Hutash?
We should start a class action against vail resorts....they promised us EPIC pow if we bought the EPIC pass, and so far all we have is EPIC butthurt....Any law mags in the house think we have standing?
I also like the doctor's note thing, but don't they have pass insurance in case of injury that you have to buy? I don't think they offer no snow insurance....maybe they should next year. I bet lots would buy after this shit show of a first half of a season.
Funny to think I had more pow days at Vail before they opened this year.
Siiick..another Echo Mtn. pow day coming
Joel, how come Echo is looking so much better than Eldora for this weekend? Just curious, since they're both on the eastern side... seems like when one gets hit, the other usually does too. But you're forecasting that Eldo will get about the same as all the Summit mountains.
Some interesting maps, not real optimistic.

Also skied Beaver Creek yesterday, and their snowmaking reservoir is LOW. like almost empty.
