All good. My wife was doing the second half of the race (shorter distance) so she was right behind me on the transfer stage when the rear pads went awol and that’s when it dawned on us what had happened. We laughed about it the rest of the day. She’s a better bike mechanic than I am and the price is right so who am I to complain.Quote:

but your takeaway should be there was absolutley nothing wrong with said PU other than it had the audacity to jackknife the trailer that was being towed into the rear fender while backing up

My ex-wife and current GF aren't better at backing trailers than me; we all suck really bad at it.
But I hate when every schmo wants to "help". Fuck you dude, this is hard enough as it is, I don't need some rando who may or may not have a clue telling me what I am doing wrong. I don't think I am alone in this sentiment (just like Mrs. Boissal who doesn't want an audience), but every schmo thinks I will finally be the person who wants them to help.

I've heard some ladder horror stories, including meeting a guy with a full leg cast who said he only fell about six feet, but landed on concrete and broke multiple bones. If ladder stuff gets even a little squirrelly, I hire someone, Mrs. PDX isn't a ladder fan either
