How did I miss this? I thought that the announcement and tickets dont go on sale until Monday?
Trigger pulled 6/22. Surprise early birthday present.
2 nights at the Venetian, 100 level tickets and the other tinkertoy crap they throw in and the cost pencils out I think.
Schindler, today was the hotel package sale, the Artist presale goes on sale Monday. Ticket prices actually aren't bad considering the venue and run.
Either way, super stoked!
What are the packages going for?
Venetian is pretty swanky. Yardbird has good chicken and waffles! Can't be cheap.
I snagged a screenshot for my buddy 100 level (rows 1-11 I think) were at about 1100 pp for tix and 2 nights king suite at the Venetian Palazzo Tower

That’s really not that bad. And flights are always cheap to Vegas
Yeah, when we added it all up the final amount actually made sense. I’ve got a couple free tickets from sky Miles and we’re making it a birthday weekend sans kiddo.
I am incredibly irresponsible when it comes to concerts and shows. I have purchased more than a few concert tickets and then either forgot about the shows, or didn't feel like going and blew them off. I would rather find myself in LV on the night of a show and then buy a ticket the day of. I bet that there will be tickets avail (at the venue, through a concierge, or other) for just about every show.
SkyMiles? That is interesting.
No, the airfare was free using SkyMiles, not the concert tix.
Trying to get my childhood buddy/fellow Head to meet me in Vegas for one last go. We caught the Other Ones in Shoreline for the final shows of their first tour post-Jer and ruefully agreed 'no more.' We had seen the boys several times together growing up and felt a little let down at the time, despite fantastic acid, a great St. Stephen (which we had never seen live) and a pretty solid China Cat/Rider. In retrospect, it wasn't fair to expect the Grateful Dead, but at the time we were just bummed.
Now I'm old and don't give a shit. I just want to eat some weird stuff and laugh at Bobby's theatrics while punching the giant, one last time.
Will report back if I'm going. Would be super fun to meet some of you folks!

If it was JRAD I would possibly entertain the idea, but Dead and Slow makes me cringe from note 1.
I felt that way forever. Until I saw them last summer. Mayer blew the lid off of my skeptical mind.
I would even go so far as to say Bobby is a little unnecessary.
I wish they would have honored their word from SFO.
Wifey got me, her and our 8y/o tickets for a May show. I choose to be optimistic.
She also got me PJ tickets for the Missoula show. It's going to be a summer of old guy concerts!

Hey all, we have a single night at the Venetian with three D&C tickets to sell. Anyone interested? Willing to negotiate! May 30.
Ass, cash, or grass?
Depends on whose ass, I guess.
I should hope so.

Organizers of an annual Grateful Dead tribute festival in California have canceled this year’s event just days before it was set to begin and told ticket holders they should not expect a refund.

^^Skull and Roses Fest went tango uniform

"Traditionally, the Ventura, CA music festival Skull & Roses brings together a bunch of Grateful Dead cover bands for a full weekend celebrating the legacy of Jerry Garcia and friends. The sixth annual installment was to take place next weekend, April 19-21, with headliners Dark Star Orchestra and an undercard filled with many more Dead disciples. But organizers pulled the plug Tuesday, just 10 days before the festivities were to begin. They claim their funds have completely run out, and they’re not offering refunds to ticket holders."
