So, apparently he isn't like 3 years old, apparently he can give a reasoned explanation of a volatile situation to police dispatch. If the passer by saw Kenney shoot the cop in the back and then drive over him, I think it would be a reasonable assessment that this guy is a danger to society. If he is still holding the gun he used to shoot the cop in the back, and refuses to put it down, I would consider that aggressive behavior and feel the need to defend myself.

Cops do a job that most of us do not want to do
People that shoot cops are almost always bad

People that try to help other injured people are good
People that defend themselves, their family members, and their community against an obvious danger are good

I doubt the passerby wanted to be in that situation and kudos to him for dealing with it in what I consider to be the most prudent way. When he won at Beaver Creek this year in the whiteout storm conditions on BOP I was here cheering the loudest. Guess what, I have always had a problem with authority myself, and I too get in trouble with alcohol in slopeside bars and I have been known to put my foot in my mouth.
I really don't see how the title is controversial at all. I think the cop and Bode's cousin simply brought out the worst in eachother.
