"If you are looking to get off the trail, the west face of KT is skiing pretty good right now. The snow pack is getting thinner by the day and there is now rock popping up all over the hill. The groomers are doing a good job of covering most of them up, at lest on the high traffic areas but the bottom line is that it is just getting thin. Squaw Valley ski patrol is seeing a disproportionate number of calls for the number of skiers on the hill. This is largely due to the fact that it’s icy and variable out there so ski safe. The skies have been slowly filling with clouds but its not looking like they are going to be dropping any snow on us." from our Squaw valley
