on a side note, Owens- perhaps a new icon to indicate "trip report" (I started following either Iskibc or 666's lead with the smiley face indicator) - that way when someone logs on who wants to just check trip reports can quickly scan through the messages posted.

Definitely agree with comments by str8line, The Reverend Floater, meatdrink9, ljm, Bullet, SkiingBear, Mrs Roo, Bad_Roo, SheRa, teledave, Foggy_Goggles, bcrider, Lloyd Christmas, Squirrel99, splat, Trackhead, Telenater, iskibc, Johnny Gnar, Woodsy, Bodhi. Not everyone can huck 50 footers, so post whatever photos/videos from wherever you are having fun regardless of the mountain size or geographic location or number of photos (even if it is only 1 or 2).

I would like to thank all of those who have taken the time and effort to create the quality TRs. The trip reports/snowsports photos & videos are the best thing about this forum. Truly inspirational! Dwanis post Nervous Star Chute Run http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=29847 last year was a classic example of this quality.

Until the TGR community decides it is worthy to recognize the efforts that the TRs/Snowsports Photos & Videos involve and create a separate Trip Reports/Snowsports Photos & Videos subforum, Squirrel99 has a good idea with the smiley face indicator.

Definitely agree with this, when I saw that report from Mt. Ripley up in the keweenaw peninsula in early december, it was great to see whats happening back there. For how small a hill it is, I had a ton of really good snow days there over the years, and those guys got me stoked for that place again.

I totally agree! I have only made two TRs but I find when I know I'm putting one together, I keep my eyes/ears peeled for funny or awesome things to happen so that I can include them, plus skiing in front of a camera of any sort, or people watching, for that matter makes me watch my form all that more carefully.

It is also a cool way to share your personality with other people in the ski world, a picture can say a thousand words, but a picture AND writeup can say even more!

Can't wait to see and make more in the coming weeks/months/years...

I love Alta and would be super pleased to go back. So that's a definite maybe. But Jackson Hole is increasingly on my mind. Sidecountry is pretty much my favorite skiing and I've never even been out the gate there. Did a day on Teton Pass years ago and skied inbounds on a fat powder day, so I know it's very, very good.

So we'll see. That's a long way off and my priority right now getting sorted for Hawaii next summer. And I'm really looking forward to a great season back in Summit County. :)
