Think of the strongly evocative names in the outdoor industry with pertinent imagery...
Mountain Hardware: great name
Teton Gravity Research: great name
the name of the product not only describes itself, it also has strong positive imagery.
Can you imagine if TGR were called Jackson Downhill Investigators? Yeah, not so much. But Gravity Research is a funny, catchy idea that we all associate strongly with.
So...now back to your regularly scheduled clusterfuck brainstorm...maybe that'll help, maybe not?
Clets - that was too fucking funny not to become a siggy > Can you imagine if TGR were called Jackson Downhill Investigators?

Ya know, Gordy, a free camp might entice the reluctant amongst the collective enough to elicit a true brainfart for your name.
Gordy's Black Camp Of Death
I like frizzo's idea, but I would just shorten it to "Straightlines"Quote:

"[your name]'s Big Mountain Camp."
or stick with your board name.
"Straightline Ski Camp."
Of if you talked a little about your philosophy, what your goals are, etc., that may help people come up with an apt name.
Or maybe "Fallline Ski Camp" www.falllinecamp.com is not registered, so you could grab that...
Or possibly use a mountain term : cirque ski camp
With rossi onboard and eurpoean destinations, you could go french: "montagne ski camp" or "neige ski camp."

What about just Camp 11Quote:

oh yeah, and btw.. welcome back ;) apparently you were missed!
ooh, I got it. Goggles for me!
Growing up in Colorado, I did a lot of backpacking and camping and hiking and stuff, like any kid in the mountains. I went to summer camps in the mountains, hiked and climbed stuff first with fam, then with friends, etc. Anyway, at one summer camp, a gang of us rugrats coined a term for our preferred method of coming down from a hike high up in the Colorado alpine tundra that can be found above treeline, which is characterized by uneven, naturally grassy fields scattered with usually granitic boulders and rocks. In a semi-controlled state of falling, we'd basically launch ourselves downhill at a rate faster than we could really manage, and simply work to keep our feet under us by skidding, twisting, and launching from the rocks, bumps, loose dirt, and scree. We'd spend a morning climbing a 14er, but it'd take us an hour to get down. It was hard on the knees and ankles, but it was fast. Pretty facking wild, and not entirely smart. We even had classifications of descent grades based on terrain features, steepness, etc.
Anyway, long story story short, we called it RMDing.
RMD, for Rapid Mountain Descent.
You can use it GP, I'd be honored.
RMD presents GP's Big Mountain Ski Camps...
etc, you get the point.
It's catchy, no?
"Dood, it's dumping! Enough R&R, it's time for a little RMD."
:D
Utality -- its a cross between Utah and brutality
Yeah, OK, I'll take a stab at that hard-to-spell last name of yours...

That Yossarian, always sticking to the assignment...
one f, I think, as in FKNA. ;)
Gordy's Mountain Camp
I'm convinced part of the appeal is in the name Gordy... which is hardly common... as well as in the word Camp... which has a very traditional appeal.
Or course... I still like Gordy's Action Time Super Camp... so what do I know.
Edit: Or just Peifer's Mountain Camp
Eat a dick. :DQuote:

"Big Mountain Discovery"
Kinda hokey but since you'll be traveling seems like you'll end up highlighting things specific to each area. Also people will probably discover things about themselves, and the mountains. Gat, I know, but so is skiing :).
"Open Faces" -- Same idea, only less Gat.
"Face Time" -- Get face time with a pro and face time with a hill. Hella Gat. Edit: I actually like this one.
And I'm spent.
