Keep getting it lady.
Still taking advantage of my free semi private practice facility. Played with a 6 iron and hit from here to there then over to somewhere else. Hit a lot of stroke saver recovery shots to the greens. Had a talk with Scotty who said the pond is starting to overflow now that they stopped irrigating the course. Town Parks own it now and Scotty said he told them about it. Two weeks ago. I gave him some tips on how to work it now that he is going to be getting 1099's instead of a paycheck. $0.58/mile aint hay.

Must be so nice!!!
This spring your iron game’s gonna be so strong, Wooley!!!
Well, if I ever have to hit a chip left handed 20' onto a green, it won't be the first time.

i chipped and putted at a public course on the coast for a few minutes last week, which was super nice but haven't taken a full swing in a month. my clavicle is still causing a lot of pain and feels like it is misaligned at the sternum and the ac joint. i'm finally breaking down and going to the chiro tomorrow. i hope this isn't going to turn into something worse but hey at least i don't snowboard on my shoulder.
I played 18 on Saturday...
...in Chicago. The global warmingz aren't all bad. Nice to have your first birdie of the year on January 5. Putted for shit (the greens were actually rolling nicely), but played reasonably well.
Anyone have experience with the courses at Kohler, WI?
I am going to Door County for a wedding in August and thinking about heading out a few days early and trying to get some rounds in at Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run. I also have Sand Valley on my radar, so many top tier courses in eastern/central Wisconsin!!
Sorry can't help. I only play on courses that allow jeans.
got worked over hard by the massage therapist and then chiropractor. no structural damage just massive muscle spasms in my rotator cuff and pectoralis muscles pulling shit out of whack. short game practice for a couple more weeks and should be good to go. may get some acupuncture to help speed it up.
Been there twice. WS is a fake links course. More target golf than
anything. Some good holes for sure. Bandon Dunes has three courses I’d rather play.
Erin Hills was meh for me too considering the money.
I really liked The River at Blackwolf Run. Park style and was my favorite course of the four at Kohler.

Thanks for this, I don't think Im gonna pony up the ~$450 to play WS, I'd rather spend that on a replay or two at Blackwolf Run. Sand Valley is really calling my name the more I look into it. I also don't have much of a desire to play Erin Hills.
Re: Bandon - I played Pacific Dunes a couple of summers ago and vowed to make it back for at least 4 days to get the real immersive experience of staying on property and getting to play all the courses at least a couple times. Maggot golf summit on the Oregon Coast in April?
Jury duty cut short because the case settled before jury selection.
I got to play weekday golf!
44F, super foggy from the rain over night to am.

Really enjoyed playing with these gentlemen.
They even offer me to join their regular Friday golf but unfortunately I have to work.
Hope to run into them again.
awesome setting, t!
Isn’t it beautiful?
Couldn’t see anything but it was so gorgeous out.
You're killin it!!
If you meet those guys again you can pass along the "Three Rules" my father taught me to have a sound game.
1- Keep your head steady
2- Swing easy and let the club head do the work.
3- Don't tell your about wife about every time you play.
Will do!
I have to say.
My favorite random partners are senior golfers.
They tend to be calmer and that energy transfer to me very nicely.
Also they have tons of stories to tell and wisdom to share.
Not asking my phone number’s a big plus as well.
Although I wouldn’t mind if it was them asking!
And their short game!
Seriously!!
Yah.
Those putter wedge things that they garbage can the hole every time from anywhere between 120 and 5 yards out.
I'll add that rule #3 is best said with smile, a wink and a nod for full effect. Watching SEVE in Golf Channel. What a swing!
I may need to use that #3 on my boyfriend time to time.
