You could distribute power bars and condoms through less traveled countries with a rig like that. And others would pay for it. #savetheplanet

The only qualification for GOTOS is that you don’t take that shit off after the event.
Extra points if driver has a manbun?
Not sure how many points or if this even fits...Attachment 377767Attachment 377768

I'm so torn on that one.^ On one hand, it is beyond category. But on the other, it clearly was not motivated by fashion - like negative style points. Some trashed out tarps? A custy metal leaf rake and a broom? Street tires on the truck? Stuff that appears.....to be used.
I don't know what to do with it.
Edit: He has an umbrella. In a world of mechanized $3k awnings... he has a beach umbrella w/ bungees.
I also spy an axe - double bladed!
There’s gotta be a wood-handled shovel in there somewhere!
I think those might be ATVs under the tarps…
This is the anti-GOTOS
ETA - the shovel is strapped upright behind the broom.
It’s a work truck that gets double duty (as they should) for play.
Lifeskilzmobile!!! Love it.

Just a single fucking shovel.
Just. Fucking. Because.
This is purity of GOTOS.
Sublime.
Never taken off.
Always U-bolted on.
God dammit.

The Ubolts has to be some kind of super multiplier right?

I see no reason that they could not have flipped the shovel over, and had the printing upright.
Bugs me worse than the half removed label.
Is it just me or is the idea of strapping all this plastic stuff to the exterior of your vehicle a horrible idea?
Are the traction plates really so UV stable that they can sit on your vehicle all year and still be useable when it comes time to drive on them?
IME - even “UV stable” plastics don’t last very long when exposed to day in and day out weather and sun.
I also find it interesting that on balance the Australians seem to have gone the other direction with 4x4 style. Much more oriented towards having stuff in an enclosed space with dedicated, custom boxes to replace pick up beds, etc. They certainly have stuff on the outside, but not nearly as much as this current trend in the US.
On the other hand…
I spent 6 hours with the kids in the car to go camping last weekend. Any tips on mounting a car seat to a bumper or roof rack so I don’t have to listen to the whining? My Subaru is dark blue, so please consider a matching color scheme in your submission.
Consider trading in the Outback for an old Brat. I'm sure your logic is PRECISELY what the Subaru engineers were thinking at the time. BRILLIANT! Had a friend growing up whose family had one and we thought it was SOOOO much fun to ride around back there. Ah, the 80s.

Here's a solid candidate.

When I squint I can count multiple miniature dachshunds in that r worded camo pattern. Sure, kick the seller in the pills but recognize that he is a closet wiener dog lover. And there’s something to be said for navigating this world with grace. And letting weirdos pass because there is a nearby brewery with a killer happy hour and your time is worth more than that idiot’s paint job. Or G.O.T.O.S.
Edit. This squinty stare at a picture in the mall with an orange julius in your hand to see a sailboat moment has to be captured post seller's craigslist deletion.
Finally snapped a pic of this one, guy works at the building next door to my work. I've never seen a spec of dirt on it.

Well clearly when he returns from overlanding it's night and you're asleep. He goes to a u wash car wash before he heads to work..

It’s going to be a sad day the first time one of those things rolls over at high speed and turns into a giant inferno killing all the occupants.

Spied today in Incline Village, NV. "Truckhouse" camper, built on a Tacoma chassis for whatever dumb reason... Their website says price is $300,000.
If you're gonna build a custom big ass camper, at least do it on a platform meant to hold weight. Tacoma?
But at least there's a lot of GOTOS crap all over it.

At least the Dolphin was built on a 1 ton chassis

This.
I looked around their website some more. My guess is there's one in existence (the one pictured on website), and that's the one I saw.
https://www.truckhouse.co/the-bct
Starting price is $300K. Fully built (IOW the one I saw) is an even more ludicrous $400K.
Fuck, my extra-tall, two-toned Nick's boots with the lineman shank would look good stepping out of that rig.
I didn't snap a picture, but last week I saw the cutest 1-gallon gas can mounted to the rear hatch of a Toyota Yaris. East side of the Sierra, so I can kind of see it; they don't want to risk ever needing to buy $5.50 gas in Lee Vining or Bridgeport.
Spotted in it's natural habitat.
Hartford - Springfield area. Rich in overlanding possibilities.
