This and technique. Just because someone is big doesn't mean that they know how to drive a ski.

Planky overstiff skis suck and are too much work. Why make these require manballs work to ski? They'll be worse in pow, too.
Get the 3/4 flex maybe?
By mid season, if you've been touring as frequently as you say you want to, and haven't died, you'll weigh 30 lbs less and won't want to manhandle the stiffs, despite being just as strong (per weight).
I have a terrible 'I'll ski anything' attitude, so I am not going into detail on particulars, and I mean in my mind. I'm more likely to tell Keith just make them and I'm good with that. If I was choosing for me, the 3/4 will be the one I'm sure I'll like better. And I won't care what core or top it has. This ski works in all iterations. I, personally, don't need an I beam ski. I like to feel a little bit of flex.
Thing is - the body of the ski in 3/4 is stiff, like your pair, based on the proto. The nose will flex a little, just like yours, I'm sure. I like that flex.
To feel the core flex, slip your foot under the tail, grab the ski below the nose where the sidewall ends, then flex it. That's body flex.
Yeah, but these aren't big mountain boards, nor for pure pow...they don't have the dims.
They're an edgier BillyGoat. They need to flex a little to float and turn and be playful and poppy.
Point taken, but still don't agree stiff would make them worse in pow.
Playful N poppy is not a bad thing tho
Well I'm not saying "soft" either.
Stiff is good, but too stiff sux and is too much work. And too stiff for the geometry undoes the thoughtful design intent.
Also, I think this is more of a terrain crusher shape myself.
I hear you man, that's my point behind stiff might not be stiff for the next dude. As long as it doesn't transmit shit snow should be the goal.
Yup, we're tracking.
Lacewood veneer will probably be an option for these:

So I'm waiting on a hopeful release of 187s and this comment interests me.
Earlier in this thread, someone (splat?) posted that the Lhasa's profile was very GPO-like.
I'd love a GPO-like ski that approaches the crap snow performance of a Goat. Is this the ski?
I'm pretty much done with asym, even if I finally figure out the Qs.
... Thom
Has anyone skied the OG Lhasa Fat and GPOs and can offer any comparison?
Only 2 days left to order... not a ski you want to miss out on [emoji108]
Dammmmmnit
Is there a Lhasa Scholarship?

Splat I can’t wait to be on another pair your skis by way of Keith!
Yeah, Kevino! I want to see some of those outandish pics you do.
