Personally, i think that JD is just playing maga as he saw his opportunity and took it. He and his wife are no dummies and i think they both are fully using thiel/maga/trump to achieve their american dream. I don't think he is nearly as extreme as he has appeared over the last few years as he had had to pander to the maga bloodlust. purely a guess and gut feeling on that though... i just have a hard time believing such a sober, even keeled person (married to another brilliant sober person) could actually spiral down a rabbithole as far as it appears in just a few short years.Quote:

I dont think that an invasion of Iran would happen, even if an assisination of turmp could be loosly tied back to iran. I think that would result in aerial bombardment and regime change efforts though. More likely is that iran goes tit-for-tat and engages in infrastructure attacks in america... remember a few years ago when a series of drunk rednecks mag-dumped on substations and shut down power for hundreds of thousands? It'd be fairly easy to sabatoge the HetchHetchy water pipes feeding 2 million people, or fuck with water resevoirs, etc. I think that is a more likely attack from iran, IMO.
Personally, i think i would have preferred that the USA didnt publicize their B2s and bunkers buster mission and instead just stayed mum the whole time, and let the world think that Israel had that bunker buster tech and dropped the bombs. I like the whole Speak Softly But Carry a Big Stick approach, but we spoke REAL loudly on that too when it wasnt neccessary.

Of course they are already using drones, and will continue to do so. But nothing so far has been measurable enough against the US to register on our national psyche.
