Someone in the work garage has a 918, not this racing spec though. No livery either.. kinda dig the Martini paint. And several Porsches, 740 new, Tesla. Haven't figured out who it is yet. Think he went to the UofU.

Yeah that sounds like fun. Some of the pc car club dudes have been trying to get me to go. I'm tapped out on my car budget for the year. Got another kid coming in September as well.
My car needs another $1500 - $2k in work to get it where I would want it for part time track duty. It works great right now for daily canyon duty.
I used to get lots of track time. I miss it. I did tons of track days in my mr2, then I started instructing for scca at Miller and racing an n/a 944 spec car (tried to sell it in the padded room like 5yrs ago) so I know the thrill. If I started up again, I might end up robbing my mother's grave to pay for track time and parts...
That's a great looking Porsche to be sure! However, the performance isn't that dissimilar to the the racing Porsche 996 GT3 that raced in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. The Daytona Prototype drivers in the race readily complain about the MUCH slower Porsche GT3s clogging up the race course! They have to slow down for them and consider them a nuisance! Lol
Accordingly, I'd rather have one of these....a Daytona Prototype. A road-going version of a DP car would be sweet!!!!

Give me a 911 GT1.
I am more interested in the 2.5 million they are worth.

IMO, if a car does not catch on fire, it's boring.

I might get one, how are they in the snow?
Oh Lord, won't you buy me a badly painted 356...

The mystique of Joplin continues still!
It's gong tobe replaced by the ZZ Top Eliminator? What the hell is that?? Some sort of Top Fuel dragster?
The Joplin Porsche is expected to pull down $400,000. I would have thought more. What did the psychedelic Beatles Rolls Royce bring in?
Not top fuel. Got legs?

Interesting timing on these two comments. I sold Michael Joplin a Piaggio MP3 when I was living in Tucson. I wonder if it's still got the stock paint job.

Cause I washed it and had fun on parleys today... (old pic, but taken after a wash...)
assuming this is a 430whp s/c car. Rice-o-meter 1-10 pls. I like the rear diffuser. And the idea of better traction and, um, 400+ whp

Hey bromo, there is a pc car club cruise up to Evanston Sunday morning. Taking chalk Creek Road...

My new little Italian girl. Not in the ultra fast category but I went to get a family hatch and came back with her. :)
Agree on the fender vents; not a fan. Also like to see a ventless version of the diffuser. Everything else looks good. Except the two-tone paint.

Ooooo...Ooooooo. Ooooooooooo.
I did a CO > AK round trip in a '71 2002. That car was super dependable, just quick enough and got 22 mpg. The problem was when it was more than 200 miles between gas stations that little 10 gallon tank wasn't quite sufficient :(
Mine is a '74 and yes the gas tank is small. It is also situated right behind the drive wheel so if you happen to drive much on gravel roads you will probably dent and then puncture the tank. Just got it running again today after one of my coolant lines sprung a leak. I have never owned a car that started as easily as the 2002. It's like it prefers to be running.
M3 e46 in action. Wait for it.
^^I thought that was this one again at first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZVrnd9V7sk

That's a new one for me. Either too many video games or too much money.
