Neat Wyoming find..
Hope you all got some today. Surprise foot of new fresh powder day- probably my only day of the year at TV and it was today! Am teaching a Pro 2 and we got worker tram and to follow patrol around, watch them make avalanches then ski powder, all with a fabulous sound track from Mike Rheam who is snow safety OG. I thought about asking a few of you for change for a nickel, but was pretty captivated by the views and the white stuff flying in my face. Go winter!
Another pretty good day. Just one image but representative of the whole line.

Saw the jhole and ghee snow cam very early and was surprised of the under forecast.
1st runs at the rock was 1/2 in on top of wall to wall groomer best groomer of the year!!!
Rain and snow in Pocatello 4500 ft now. The rock is well above.
This year has been better than most would guess.
DJ I will make jhole some time I promise.
Last day for golden ticket was today.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I'll stop here

I got up and saw the 16" before the report came out and had to decide what to do. Harry cut me loose and I was out by 0648. In line by 715 with Don the Freak.
Saw/spoke with skiinggirl but I had my hippie speedball blinders on so my focus was laserlike.
Met Koko's nephew on the box but he had enough sense to not take my offer to lead him into lower RS first.
Sunny and windblown to start, Rbowl was less good than I expected. Maybe better in the gut but I went 85% out and down.
An almost untouched line of boottop with bumptops still lurking. I ricocheted off a few of them between kneedeep troughs.
Into RS and found overall depth around shin deep with hip deep sluff catchalls and a superb pitch that I usually pass by for the trees.
It was deeper and softer than the lines beside it, almost an upslope deposition.
Rolled right and in and embraced about 30 smooth blower light turns to the bottom. Telling myself that this was the best set of pow turns I've had all winter.
Oh, and breath opposite of the splash.
Huffing my way through ninja point, I hit all of my favorite turns and kept eating powpow
for a few miles.
Miles. Untracked.
Didn't see a person the whole time, top to bottom altho I heard some hooting as I submerged on the deep pitch.
Smooth and steady back to the UP chair and spent the rest of the am with Harry and Mr. Mike lapping around casper treezones, avalanche, shot 105, radioactive woods. Lots of soft snow on carvy underfoots.
Great day today.

Thanks TH - stoked youse guys are having a good season. Pics pleez.
Golden tickie end of season too...
HMS - cool you scored a day as such at the vill. T'was a good one. I bet Rheam would give you a pass any old time.
Pow Day!

I miss that cool breeze on days like this.
Wrapped up day 5 of 5 and I’m leaving in the morning. What a great mountain. I had a great time every single day. Today was extra special though.
Met a lot of interesting people on this trip, and reconnected with a lot of old friends.
Thanks everyone, I will be back.

I am so glad I didn’t pull the trigger on my trip. Most impeccable timinh since last Monday. Skied Rock Springs first, 4 Pines and then a completely untracked Pinedale with a new aquaintance. Back on bus to village early

Another pow day. 🥱. Snow was great every day we went this week.
Fun stuff at the Ghee. Wife likes it better than JH so we skied here more. Slipped and hit my head in the brewery parking lot. Other that that a successful first winter camping trip. Good tunes at the Trap, burgers for lunch at the trap. Hot tubbin slopeside. All fun stuff of a ski vacation.
lindenle and I waited a coupla hours for 2 first tracks blower runs thru Lower RS. Holy shize, that was a hella deep sesh.
And charging for most of 4k. Twice.
Boottop absolute minimum, of vaguely stiff but dry and cold windload. Pockets up to waist deep about every 10th turn.
Trying not to get augured in. Explosions of snow. Launching the line that I know will crack and slide around me. It does.
Lindenle skis in after and smokes his own crack after moving into the uncut/slid zone.
Thanks for one ski move over the augured Jerry below that steep shot. And sucking the doors offa the guide and her cluck. That was a delight.
Great day! Sun even popped at 4:30!
