All the Tammys in Walla Walla were there I’m sure.

I'm essential employee at essential business, so still going in to work every day. If anything, I'm even busier due to dealing with covid related crap. Meanwhile, wife is at home attempting to work remotely full-time while attempting to home school a 6 year old and dealing with a three year old. I know we're lucky to have job security, etc. etc. but still it's just rough every day. We just moved in the fall to a place on a much smaller property, so there's not even the big yard and woods we used to have to get kids outside easily.
Don't get fired is my advice to you.
That is impossible. Wife is doing same thing, with kids the same ages, without working and she is getting her ass-kicked some days. I've been working a bit less to help her out.
between my work and me always cleaning/taking care of the kids, i've been full-on with small breaks from 6-7am to 8-9pm. I thought about whining about it and then I realized, oh, this is now a shared responsibility household, this is what my wife has been wanting for years. I'll just keep it to myself, yeah. (she normally works btw)
Yeah it's bad especially because kids have so much EXTRA energy from being cooped up without socializing or running wild with their friends. It sucks but I just try to reassure her that it's fine if school work has to take a backseat and you just have to let them veg out at the tv more than you'd like - you just have to do whatever you need to so you can get through the days without going totally mental. I try to keep the kids out of her hair once I get home so she can actually focus fully on work for a while but just long days all around.
I was just talking to junior, the oldest of 3 grandkids is 9, his wife is a part time librarian helper/TA so ain't working and she knows how to teach the really young kids so they are done their school work by noon
she makes more money on the gov handout than she did working part time and all the stuff they signed the kids up for got cancled so they got all the money back and due to Covid are net ahead funny how that works eh
You need to get them little weight vests. Put them on the minute they get out of bed in the morning, and don't take them off unless you're giving them their weekly hose-off on the back porch or they're going to sleep. It will slow them down and they'll be so yoked by the time school finally starts again they'll never have to worry about being bullied.
Yup - black, brown... whatever. Definitely sufficient.

yeah, in theory we're ahead because we have the same income but much less in expenses. But we were generally running in the red all the time, so saying we're "ahead" when we're still scraping by is kinda weird.
And like RootSkier, I'd trade being behind for this whole fucking thing to end.
We pay for daycare with an fsa and you can’t change contribution rates mid year so not even seeing any savings. Got no refunds for spring sports yet either they’re “looking into” if they’ll give refunds, lol.

Same here no refunds yet. I'm sure they want to attempt to offer some very limited baseball season so they can keep the cash. I figure I'm out $400 for baseball and lax. Kid got a sweet lax sweatshirt..lol. that's not including equipment costs.

We hadn’t bought lax gear for this year yet thankfully

Sure was nice to go get a couple beers at the brewpub on Monday, first day of "re-opening" in Montana. Then yesterday we took the kids to a Japanese hibachi restaurant for a belated birthday celebration. I am kind of surprised at how few people are out though. I figured folks would be chomping at the bit after being sheltered in place for weeks. We haven't even had a new case in our city in over three weeks, so the risk seems pretty low to me. I guess it's just going to take time. Not for me, fuck it, I'm sick of this shit.
They practiced indoors before da covids. Otherwise I would've waited too. Didn't get new baseball cleats yet so guess we are good there.

Sure. I'm a daring guy.

I am sooooo craving Eggs Benedict from Bacon & Eggs in town. Sigh.............
But did you get the love boat?
I've actually gotten the opposite impression i.e. lots of people out and about. I've been kinda liking the empty roads, stores etc. but on Monday when the state "re-opened" I've never seen so many people at Murdoch's. Guess I shoulda went for beers instead. And I think montana is a bit different scenario then most places. I'm working in your county and the county where I live has had 0 confirmed cases as far as I know( not that montana has had a whole lot of tests..). I did see one of the military planes fly over us toward great divide after what I later heard were flights over all the hospitals to honor our healthcare workers.
So I guess I didnt really have a complaint other than going to work and not grabbing beers.
I grabbed beer, got up above my valley and watched planes. It was a nice break in the day. Super crowded. Even a Karen who everyone wanted to smack.
Ha, just ordered my kids a trampoline last week and it was hard to find one that I could get delivered sooner than later. Selling out all over the place.
I wish I could get my kiddo to use her trampoline. She loves it when friends are over, but rarely uses it solo. And of course these days she's all solo.
