Exactly!!!!
This "change" affects only the residents of, let's see here, the two counties of -- drum roll please -- Fulton NY & Aroostock ME.
Otherwise, even without the "change": 99.98% of the U.S. population outside of VT would be restricted from quarantine-free leisure travel to VT.
(As would 83% of the population of VT were the criterion applied internally.)
I rode my MTB over Mt Cushman on sunday. Stick season is great for riding like this, views over the whole ridge. New skis and bindings being mounted by gear exchange currently. Shifts on tracers, first time buying new skis and not just being a dirtbag using old clapped out garbage.
The main change is now anyone that is traveling here no longer has to check to see if they can without quarantine, they need to quarantine. It also makes it easier for restaurants, hotels, Inns, and guest houses to tell potential guests the requirements for coming into the state, they need to quarantine. The other interesting part is that the state will now employ state police, local officials, and the liquor stores to remind out of state guests of the regulations and the need to quarantine. It also opens the door, albeit open slightly, for the possibility of charging repeat offenders both in state and out of state for not adhering to these measures.
Does the above suck? Yes!
Will it hurt businesses? Yes!
But the people resoundingly elected Scott to guide the state through this pandemic and as of yet he and his administration have done a pretty decent job.
I hope the resorts in all the states stay busy, both to keep people working and to (perhaps more) to keep people out of my syrup chugging stashes.

Ski resorts running all winter seems more tenuous now than four weeks ago. If any place stays open it will be WV
Anyone ever tried a "meade" made with maple syrup? Better yet straight moonshine? Gotta believe yes.

There's a place near me in NY that makes mead out of maple syrup; https://vinoshipper.com/shop/helderb...ad_8,003?list=
It's pretty good.
Cool. Obviously a bit different than honey which is used directly..I wonder if they distill it down to say a grade a or whatever, or of they go with less sugaring?

Love the use of "cloying" in that write up. Total beer judge word. Wouldn't doubt it if they pulled it from an early competition they entered..you always get the judges.notes

If you want to search for maple mead use the term acerglyn.
Thanks. Figured someone turned that "sugar" into booze. Seemed obvious but I never considered. Consider me learned as it never came up in beer judge testing that I recall.

My FIL makes maple shine....it barely tastes like maple, but will keep you plenty warm on a cold January day.
