Final? I hope not, maybe they'll stick around in the valleys for a bit.
Boom!
4pm, back away from the computers and go get yourself a beer. happy weekend.
Nice looking tuna. Always wanted to hook one of those. Going to take ML's advice and go pop one open on the deck and collect some needed vitamin D
Just a heads up for any mags in the Burlington area who may be interested, UVMSSC is screening Higher in the billings lecture hall at 7:30. Tickets are $10 at the door and there will prize giveaways and a chance to win the tour grand prize.

LB is a good trip, but it's a mountain work day at MRG.
On another note:
Yesterday was another day above 3000 feet.
Got sassed by birds and, on the way out, noticed moose prints over our hike in foot marks.
Some of the ferns were getting yellowish but amazingly most looked very hardy for this time of year. I love wandering about in the boreal zone.
Sweet fish Rob!

Very nice dawn in the valley outside New Paltz this morning.
O toro! Better than fillet IMO.
Ok fine!

Sooo... no new thread yet? ^-- Sweet pics, btw.
HarveyRoad just posted details of the Warren Miller swag this year. Check this, Albany peeps:
Everyone who attends No Turning Back at the Palace Theatre in Albany (11/7 - 11/8) will receive a free lift ticket to Sugarbush, Windham Mountain, Gore Mountain and Smugglers' Notch, with 2-for-1 deals at Killington and Steamboat and special discounts at Play it Again Sports Latham.
I checked it for the Portland show and the tickets were all M-F so not much good for me. I only go to the Warren Miller shows for the tickets. Reminds me of Disney and Disney makes me sick to my stomach.
Happy Indian Summer All! Record high temp in Burlington was set yesterday, I hope it gets cold before ski season.
Riding is all time with dry leafy trails in the backyard

I went for a long Sunday ride and hit up some of the trails I built in the 90's in my ski/bike bum period.

One of the many features I built into the Cyclone is the "circle turn" , been a while since I rode this one and it was still a good time, except for the climb home.

But alas, no more time to build trails as I need to get back to this house I am building for a nice young couple from Sanibel, the view from my office is very nice

T-O-P
ps, anyone notice that the ban hammer dropped again?
Rog? I was worried, my prediction for the number of aliases he would need to get through the season was looking to be wayyy off.
Looking like some extended flurries for N VT on the GFS and cold weather for the end of the month. Anyone for a mini early season WROD summit at Sunday River the first Sunday in November? For the regulars I have lodging in N Conway.
His fourth alias thus far for 2014 finished up on Thursday with 16 posts:

On a more positive note, after trenching out the off-camber element at the beginning of the Berkshire East rando race backcountry skintrack yesterday afternoon, I had enough time for a scouting hike on Greylock for the new course layout there this season:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.n...6cdf935833cfec
Quick summary of the new route:
- Start at the gazebo in the left of the picture.
- Skin to summit lighthouse in the top middle of the picture.
- Ski down to gazebo.
- Repeat #2&3.
I'll take 70's and 80's all day if this is at the end of the forecast:
