Blewett snowpack is languishing, but what's left provided some fast and smooth turns yesterday. Almost spring like, corn-adjacent snow. Hope the refresh pans out later this week.

Any Seattle mags headed to the Idaho panhandle anytime soon? Phatty has a pair of skis that he wasn’t able to fit in his roof box when he came through in December that I’m hoping someone else might be able to drag over.

Where did you ski today? We skied Stevens and found close to boot deep powder on the upper half of the mountain. Dust on variable crust down below. Not a bad day.Quote:

Got out to xtal with low expectations and was blown away. Over a foot of cold dry snow. Some wind effect and a hard base, but really really good quality overall. Awesome day.

I did my usual move and went straight to 6 which was nice bc it was loading by 915 or so, but oh man was all of Campbell Basin… weird. The SE wind left every wide open slope with huge wide wind drifts.
The ridge traverse was the best it's been in a long time, though the top few turns skied not very well a few turns in was pretty dang good. Consistent shin to knee deep.
Main runs are back to 98% filled in with the past few snow events since the atmospheric river. I’ve been skiing my good gear the past few visits with no concerns. Still lots of shallow rocks, stumps, etc. off trail to make things interesting.Quote:
