First, thanks to all for the kindness and support. When my wife left the Dr yesterday afternoon,he gave her some meds and told her the headache should be gone within 45 minutes of taking them. After 1.5 hrs and no relief, I was freaking out.I called her DR. who advised a trip to the ER which is what I had been thinking anyway.Got there 9PM est and was there until 3:30 am. A cat scan was done and that was OK but as the ER DR said, cats only rule out the big stuff. Small bleeders will not show. So, this morning we will be scheduling the MRI and per the ER DR, an MRA which looks closely at the blood vessels. The DR may schedule a spinal to pull some fluid and check for blood. Her headache has gone away. That really doesn't matter though because my friend that died had them come and go until the big one that killed him. Thanks again to everyone. You guys are the greatest. MRW
Many vibes this a.m., I'm glad your wife has you there with your full support and also to push the docs & schedule keepers on her behalf. We'll keep hoping for good news.

My friend passed at the age of 15 from an aneurysm while riding his bike. Be glad you caught it when you did and work with the docs. My hopes go out to you and your wife for a good recovery.
First, my condolences for your mom. It's always tough going through that. Also, my best wishes for you and your wife. Be strong.
My wife had a co-worker that had similar symptoms and did have an aneurysm that was diagnosed before it ruptured. The neurosurgeon was able to get at it and got it repaired and he was as good as new. This was 20years ago and he's been fine ever since. Detection is the key here and at that time, they didn't have MRI's available. So with your wife's doctors fast actions, if it even is an aneurysm, it may be easily (relatively) fixed. And still, you don't even know for sure what's going on so go easy on yourself. Beating yourself up accomplishes nothing. Be strong for her and hold her tightly. I can only imagine how scared she is right now and she is going to need all the strength you can muster. Good Luck.

Good to hear she'll be fine. As a life long anemic I can assure you that it's not hard to live with at all, as long as you like Green veggies and Beef.
