Oh, Reefs all the way - 'butta' on not I'd like to see the ass in his bed. The SAC special of 2 weeks or whatever ago was choice. I've 2 pairs outside my door. None of them stink... but thats because they sit in the sun all day.

I rock the flops every where and mine smell like mega ass, here is how I got them less stinky,
1. Put them in a strong pine-sol water mix in a bucket and let them soak.
2. Take them out after like a couple of hours and spread baking soda all over them, make sure to get the strap thats what stinks at lot of the time.
3.Wash the baking soda off in the pine-sol.
4.Let sit in the pine-sol for a while.
5. Hose off and sun dry.

I just throw my sandals in the washing machine w/ my regular laundry, once the stink becomes too much. I just pull them out once I do the switch to the dryer...seems to work just fine.

Don't know what it is with sandal stink-ass, but it's some nasss-tee shit.

I have several pairs of TEVAS, and when they get the stank, I put them in a bucket with ammonia/strong detergent and maybe some lemon if I have it - marinate for a day or two-- scrub them a bit Then rinse them good in fresh and leave them out in the sun to dry

Yeah, seconded the fanning sandals, they rule. Unfortunately our motherfucking little dog chewed mine up two weeks ago :( and the deleted thing about my e-tailer they got a full stock in this week and for the best price on der interwebin

as for stank management: washing your feet is key you dirty fucking hippies.

I saw a myth-busters where they tried vodka as a foot de-stinker and the myth was not busted.

So you could try soaking your feet and sandals in vodka. The perk is you can then drink the vodka because it has alcohol and kills the germs anyway, right? Waste not, want not!

I scrub my feet and it seems to help quite a bit. I cruise Teva's Guides and flip flops, and they "supposedly" have some anti-fungal compound in the rubber that keeps the stink factor down.

my feet stink. i wear hemp rainbow sandals (comfortable and warranty if they break prematurely) ... and use a steel wool brush to strip the grime and stinkiness off the top every once in awhile. ive also found that walking around with sandals on at the beach de-smells. not sure why though.

The answer: 3 parts white vinegar, 1 part water
Soak overnite, let dry.

Oh and I've worn Reefs since the 80's, but Chaco flipflops completely pwn.:fm:

No no no- you open OTHER people's beers with that side. There are openers on both sides. Honestly, when I am out playing Ultimate, and no one has an opener, the last thing anyone cares about is what I stepped in. It really doesn't touch the bottle, either.

Only downside to them. They don't last as long as the slaps. Something about how they are glued together.

Freshies- had to get the Green ones, they were the first to come out. Not really a "first to have it" type of guy, but when it comes to flip flops, I am a trend setter.

Chaco's are far and away the best flip out there. I recently started wearing some Keens every other day or so. Chaco's are on second summer no stank, Keen's have had two months and can smell them under my desk.

word. i mean, it is simply brillant that this wasn't thought of before: the bottle opener in the flip flops. i am going to start a petiton for one of those beer ads: "real men of genuis", becuase this deserves recogniztion.

"here's to you mr. flip flop with the built-in bottle opener maker" ....and then that dude is singing in the back ground "i use my flip flops to open beeeerrrsss"

Chaco makes a great sandal, but they fucked up the design of their flops. They made the sole too narrow and the straps go too far back on the sole which makes them too tight.

This is just me bitching because my feet don't fit in these sweet sandals.
