    Flip-flop stink management

I searched, but found nothing, though I have a hard time believing this subject has not been broached here. My flip flops fucking reek. This has been a problem since the first day I began wearing split-toe footwear, even Tevas back in the day. I've tried scrubbing them with a variety of soaps, but my current method includes just spraying them down with some antibacterial Lysol or Clorox bathroom cleaner stuff, letting them sit about 15 minutes, rinsing, and letting them sun-dry. It's a temporary solace from the stink though. 1 or 2 days and the Beast is back full-force. Even a brand new pair only last a week before fouling. I don't have athlete's foot, my normal shoes don't suffer from this plague.

I wanna hear some tips on effectively extinguishing this thriving petri dish bacterial metropolis on my flops.

I have been pondering this shitty smell in my oakley sandals aswell.

So far the best i have come up with is a general shoe deoderizer and spraying it on.

I tried soaking them in soap and water for 2 day and it did nothing.

    Fuck stinky feet

I heard somewhere thet freezing them works, never tried it, but you could give it a try and let me know how it worked..

just put them in a zip lock and into a freezer.

There can be only one: REEF. Don't pass on the ass.

But seriously, when mine get stanky I throw them in the dishwasher. Works like a charm.

Have you ever seen the reef girls faces? they are all butta faces like I have never seen. It is really incredible.

Either way I would move away from foam sandals if you don't like the stink. Anything that is leather or rubber(chaco's) shouldn't stink for a very long time, if ever. Rainbow's or Leather Chaco flips are the shit!

Ah yes. Young Bio-Smear, I happen to be an expert when it comes to flip flops. My reccomendation would be to purchase some dope-ass Adio sandles with beer openers on the bottoms, and toss em in the dishwasher when they start to stank.
    Peace, JK.

I like wearing my flip flops, but I can't work a clutch for shit with them, and end up driving barefoot. I actually kind of like driving barefoot, but then the bottoms of me feet get completely black from the rubber pedals. Anyone else have this problem?

Straight from my wife's martha stewart magazine...
Lysol (scent free) will get rid of all smell.
Kinda makes sense - smell is caused by bacteria, lysol kills bacteria...
I've heard freezing also works but don't want to put on cold shoes.
BTW - Dryer sheets in your ski boots after drying keep the smell down too.

I think the main problem is most men do not wash their feet.

standing in soapy water in the shower is not washing your feet.

I have had sneakers and worn them every day for like 3 months, then had a girl smell them and ask me if they were new.....not kidding

my rainbows are over a year old and have zero stench....

wash your feet you dirty bastads!

If these come with a bumper sticker, the deal is sealed.
But seriously, after 5+ Rainbow testimonies, I'm going to give it a try. I wash my feet with purpose 1 out of 5 showerings, the rest of the foot cleaning is standing soapy water. Why does John Kerry know my real name? Is that you, Hot Karl?

Put aluminum pedal pads on them, or pull the rubber pad off the factory pedals.
