Maggette Utarded Bike Coordination Thread

Awesome riding, glad we met up ladies. LDD, nice to finally meet you too, after so many internet conversations. :D

Siva, great job! She hammered through the ride, MUCH better than I did when starting out! (She even rode Aerie w/o walking :eek: . Of course, I was hideously out of shape when I started and had to walk it every time, so....)

El Chubasco's was delicious, however I ended up with crippling indigestion for a couple hours, and only ate 1/3 of the damn thing! (Smothered burrito, mmmm.) So I'd be down with the occasional trip there after biking, but wow does that stuff not like my internals.......blech.

And yes, AC & Lynx, definately SLC biking too - I'm definately a Jong on those trails and would like to learn a few. You get to show me the ropes...

I'm doing a quick Quarry ride after work if anyone wants to join me. I'll be there around 5:30ish

Blathering excuses: dog run tonight & maybe installing E-13 on my DH bike, Bountiful tomorrow night, working Thursday (& quite possibly Friday) night(s), gone to race & Buzzapalooza III the weekend (hopefully see quite a few of you there, eh?)

But next week, hit me up!!!! Game on...

If the weather holds for the rest of the week, my plan is to try to ride Spiro - Mid Mountain - Johns on Friday after work. I'll probably drag my husband along, but anyone is welcome to join. I haven't ridden Spiro yet, so the climb will probably kill me, but the decent down Johns is super fun.

Unfortunately, I'm probably out for other mid week rides this week....too much school stuff going on.

I'm game for friday after work, and saturday before buzzapalooza and possibly sunday after buzzapalooza depending on how uh "buzzed" i get sat. night. But i think i'd much rather ride my bike than be hungover.

AC, i'm always game for new places! Let me know what you've got on your mind.

I don't know what Spiro is, as I've just heard a little bit about it. Sounds scary and a hell of a climb...but I think I'm in for Friday as well. Might as well try a new ride up there, especially if the uphill will work the crap outta me!

What time we want to meet?

phatfreeheeler and I can usually be there by 6pm. We usually park in the PCMR lot and ride from there.

Hmm, Sprio and I have it in for each other. It's a hate hate relationship ;), well, it's fun to ride down but shitty on the way up. If I'm not working / installing parts Friday, I may be down for a re-match. :fuckyou: Spiro! :tongue:

Had a surprisingly good ride tonight on the Quarry. Not too many people at all and I managed to go a little faster than my previous rides. I think it was my music, not me!

I'm planning on riding Friday. Re, let's carpool again!

He says it's a good intro, lots of different levels. Could be fun.

I definitely want to check this out. We went looking for it last summer, but never found it. I think it's a bit hidden over the hill. Maybe sometime this weekend??

i am down for sure! We had some stuff back in upstate NY that i was generally to much of a sally to do (i think partially cause my other friends werent so into it), so i totally want to learn and it would be rad to have some lady peeps to learn with

possibly in for tomorrow - we'll see how much work i get done/caught up on tomorrow - it's also gonna be hard to get back into that grind after all my vacation eating/drinking - but that means i need the exercise that much more!

Thanks for riding on Friday night....I always hate Spiro the first couple times I ride it, but it's a great workout. We rode it again on Saturday to access the mid mountain trail, and it didn't seem nearly as bad the second time.

I hear ya on the heat, however, I think it's here to stay for the summer. Hopefully, my body will adjust to it, and I won't feel like I'm gonna DIE everytime I ride in SLC this summer.

Anyway...I'm riding Prospector on Wed as an out and back from the Rail Trail side with another friend. We should be there between 5:45 and 6. Anyone is welcome to join.

I'm taking a few days off the bike after the race this weekend - I'm pretty worked. But I'm in for a Friday PC ride, maybe that little trick course out at Trailside?

Utsnowgirl....I'd like to get up to PC on Wednesday with you guys. I'm going out with my hubby tonight to check out how my back does and if all goes well, I'll plan on Wed. I went on a road ride on Thursday and it felt great, so I'm feeling optimistic! I'll get in contact with you guys tomorrow...

Friday's ride was awesome! I'm stoked to be learning all these trails in PC i never rode last year.

Sweet. Friday it is, here's hoping we can find our way there, :). I may be down for a Sunday ride as well, not sure of the plans yet. May have a barbeque to go to, that's up in the air though.

I also need to get down to SLC and learn some of those trails. Maybe have to be later in the day though, 90+ degree weather and I just don't really get along, ESPECIALLY when pumping up a hill. :D

Ooooh....the skills park sounds fun for Friday. I could be in, as long as I'm not overwhelmed with school stuff. I wonder if we could make a ride of it from somewhere in PC?? Hm....maybe Round Valley? I'll check out the map tonight.

Just an FYI, I think AG and I will be doing Deer Crest/ Spin Cycle / Solomere loop from lower DV parking lot tommorow evening. We did it last week and the trails could not be in any better shape. Spin Cycle is so tacky I didn't have to pedal once through the whole thing. Good combo of pedaling up and ripping down. Anyway....

Hm....sounds fun, but I'm bringing a friend that probably isn't quite up to Spin Cycle yet. Phatfreeheeler might be down, though.

We plan on being at the Prospector lot by 6 for anyone else that wants to ride. I have an extra rack, and could probably drive 1 person up.

I'm probably in for Friday too. Definitely want to check out the stuff at trailside....I finally rode the ladder over the pipe on lil cottonwood last night and didn't die!! :)
