Non-Payment from a Maggot on Gear Swap--WWMD?

Is there even a miniscule remnant of a shadow of a hint of a chance that he didn't get any PM or email? If the PMs didn't bounce on a fullbox, then it sure seems like negligence, since you'll see that monologue box with the sender when you get a PM.

I know I can charm the angry vengeful mob out there brandishing their torches and chanting for death, but is there a better way? I mean, I withheld payment from the Rev for his twin tipped helmet until I could land perverted fakie, so it's understandable. Sometimes.

So, will Dick get down with Jane? I can't stand the suspense.

Unless I am contacted today by said maggot, public outing will occur tomorrow 9:30 am MST. Bring your internet rotten apples, tomatoes, buckets of shit, rubber chickens, soiled skivvies--and anything else worthy of slinging. Thank you.

btw- for whatever reason lately I don't get email notices anymore, my "unread" PM counter is totally unreliable and I don't get popup new PM notices (all my settings are checked out for these services), and a couple have gone a couple days unanswered lately... just fyi I haven't bought anything in a while so it isn't me! Plus, I only have like 300posts.

Sometimes you have to manually mark PM's read. Also, delete your receipts as they count againts your PM limits

Not true. You got me in a panic and I just went and deleted about 30 receipts. No difference to the message count at all. Still no use having them laying about especially since I pay no attention to them at all.

I have sold three jackets on gear swap during the past month. In each transaction, I sent the jacket to the buyer so that they could see what they were purchasing with the trust that, if they liked the jacket, that they would send me a check. I am happy to report that I promptly received checks for all three of the jackets. A shout out to Doremite, AltaPowderDaze, and Twoplanker for being great gear swap customers.

The success of Gear Swap is dependent upon trust. Hopefully the accused maggot will step forward and make things right.

I'm guessing its a failure to communicate (oversight). Probably doesn't have PM notification checked. I'll try another channel.

The issue has been resolved. It was a simple mistake. As far as I'm concerned, it's over and donewith and I have no issues whatsoever. It doesn't matter who it was and it has been taken care of.

I was once the jerk in a gear swap transaction. It was a time when my net access was unreliable nd sparse, I couldn't jong my way around with Paypal, and I had a trillion and one other things happening. Those were bad excuses and I gave the seller a ton of options out, kept him fairly apprised of my road blocks and he kept me in the loop when Paypal failed or shorted him because of fees.
good people make mistakes and we should all do our best to conduct our transactions with the most transparency and good faith.
