Well well well, if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions…

I agree. World Food Program going bust. The millions being spent on that rescue could save a lot more than 5 lives. Or maybe the CG is looking at this as a training exercise, hopefully paid for by the company. Still, spend the money on the children of South Sudan. (And let the adults who started that war die.)
Given the very low temps and oxygen content--no. Anyway, isn't shit already decomnposed to begin with?
" Submersible shits the Seabed "
Lmao
I like the direction this is going with the billionaire angle.
Let it out,
"Ya gotta get mean!"

I was on a sub once as a kid. We went to at least 20k leagues iirc. We did it again as we had some of the E tickets left.
I toured the sub they have next to the USS Intrepid in NYC. That is as close as I would want to get to being submerged under the ocean in a tin can.
e tickets is best tickets….
absolute fact.
Classic heuristic trap. Familiarity, Consistency, Acceptance, The Expert Halo, Social Facilitation, and Scarcity.
This is a great thread. I've been pretty busy today and was wondering what the hell was going on with this submersible thing. Was gonna have to google it but found out everything I needed to know in 5 minutes by reading the thread. Once again, there is no news source better than TGR.
I have been in Alvin from woods hole on land and used to know some of the guys who worked it. Standard joke for newbies during their first dives when the condensation starts dripping inside was to say, “oh no that’s not supposed to happen”

I love to kit out my submersible with camping world gear
the weird things in machinery’s handbook were not related to vivisection for me
is there that much liability risk for maritime passenger carriers? Aren’t things there capped? White Star line paid out $430 (then) per Titanic death and not sure much has changed
What are the odds if they ran into a sharp chunk of metal on the Titanic and imploded?
I doubt there’s anything left of the titanic that wouldn’t turn to dust if touched
(but I’m not a billionaire homemade sub integrity expert)
Maybe all those future dystopian movies got it wrong and instead of the poors fighting each other for entertainment it’s billionaires dying in spectacular ways.
Leonardo DiCaprio pulled it inside the ship to try to impress some old rich man or swing a blowjob.
there’s lots of pre-1945 ships getting salvaged for the steel

Shelley Winters would know what to do in a situation like this, no doubt…

Plenty of hungry critters down there who would relish the chance.

Personally I think it'd be honor to be devoured by crabs at the bottom of the sea.
Where's the totally baked Elno Musk's stick figure drawing of some rescue pod he just made up to send down there??
