1) Yeah, that would be the case - just thought I'd ask.
2) Ok. Sounds good.
3) If you can, that would be handy.
I'm not at all offended at the notice.
I put the templates up so they're useful, and if they're wrong, they aren't useful. So, it's GOOD to hear about a problem. [And it's especially helpful if I get quality follow-up. I have been annoyed at people posting in my template threads when they are complaining about a completely different template (say the non-demo one), however. :) ]
I did update the template recently, and certainly didn't intend to adjust the toe-to-heel spacing. I usually keep the old revisions of the files, so let me check the old versions [if I have them] and see if the toe-heel spacing got tweaked inadvertently.
Yeah, there's ways to adjust the FP by putting the toe or heel piece in the "wrong" place, but that's an ugly hack, IMO. I want the template to be right.
So, let me check the revisions and see if I can run the problem down.

So, I figured I'd just do it now, because if I put it off, I'll forget.
Checked the next oldest version I have - and it shows the distance from the centers of the front screws on the heel to boot center as 117mm. It shows the distance from the centers of the rear screws on the toe to boot center as 114mm. [It also measures that when printed, so the stated distances actually match the actual printed template lines too.]
The new template [I downloaded it fresh from here, just to be sure we're talking about the same template] shows the same distances and measures the same too.
And the original measurement from a shop template [thanks GregL] was 230-231mm total distance from front screws at the heel to rear screws on the toe. [Which also matches the current template.]
I'm kind of puzzled.
What does the description block say?
Titles:
"Salomon-Warden-13-demo-toe-1.3.pdf"
"Salomon-Warden-13-demo-heel-1.3.pdf"
I'll get some pics later this evening.
I'm not sure what happened, but I'm pushing up a new template. Version 1.4
It's got the correct heel-to-toe spacing.
Verified.
Here is a pic of the assembly. Sorry for the delay, went to Whistler for a long weekend and then forgot about ithttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...74194ee321.jpg

That looks like you did your part correctly.
I'm guessing that if you measure the heel and toe distance to the boot center they're not really 117/114mm, right?
Not sure how, but it looks like the template got screwed up.
As noted on 3/9/2020, I posted an updated/corrected template.
If you'd double check it and compare to the template you have there, that would be nice.

I've been scouring the internet for a paper template for these bindings (Salomon Warden MNC 13s--not DEMOs). No luck so far. Any ideas? The lovely ones you've provided here look great but there are obvious differences between the DEMO version and this one. Bindingfreedom(dot)com has some generic Salomon templates, but these are clearly wrong too. Thanks!
I'm sure there's one out there - probably in the binding template thread. (I think having all those templates in one single thread is pretty awful to find anything - but that's how it started and it's more or less stayed that way since.)
I am quite sure there's one, since people come to this thread to complain about problems with the non-demo template. [Just read the thread if you'd like to amuse yourself.]
I'd try this:
https://www.slidewright.com/powdergu...ing-templates/
Get the soly template - it's supposed to be for all soly alpine bindings, I think. Print it out and then drop the heel-toe on it and see if they match.
There's also a soly one on this page;
https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...aper-Templates
I'd check either of those templates against the physical toe/heel, and I'd probably do a test mount too.
Yet another shoutout to gregorys for this demo template. Mounted up a pair on M102’s and it worked great. Now have several pairs mounted using your templates.
I didn't realize that STH2 was the same as the Warden 13...lucknau did, indeed, make a template. I'd share the link, but I guess I'm not allowed (yet?) to include urls in my posts. If anyone else is looking, search for lucknau's post on this thread (08-08-2018, 12:33 AM).
Thanks for this excellent resource and your response here; now to mounting these bindings.
Pete
Sth2 and warden share 6/8 holes, so not exactly the same. There is a warden/sth2 template in that slidewright link above which clarifies which toe holes you need for each.

I'm about to mount my first warden 13. Hoping for a jondrums confirmed template.
seems there just isn't one?
do I use the sth2 and accept it will work?
. If not, what's that reliable solution?
Need a standard reliable template for the warden 13 non demo.
is there one out there, or am I on my own spacing out these Warden 13s?
Come on now, someone give me a reliable template
I used this thread’s template on W13 demos and it was spot on. Definitely do a 2x4 mount first
I can confirm that the one linked in here works.

I get it's frustrating not to find the template you want, I'm just puzzled why you're complaining in this thread?
This exact problem is why I've started a thread for each of the templates I've produced. It keeps things tidy, keeps all comments related to that particular template in one thread, etc.
The original template thread was a good idea at the time, but it's now morphed into an ugly mess where no one can find anything easily. (Usually one resorts to a google search and just hopes.)
And instead of complaining somewhere relevant, you clutter up this thread with "I can't find the non-demo template" complaints.
I dunno, perhaps I'm just a crabby old man, but it's kind of irritating. :)
I know this was discussed before without luck, but has anyone found a source for extra demo plates? I'd love to get my hands on a pair vs. just picking up another pair of demos from Corbetts.
Per Jongiest's request - ill be banging out a 3D printed version of this.
If you want to send it to me, I'd be glad to put it in the top post and credit you. That way it doesn't get buried in the thread somewhere.
And, thanks!
I guess I figure'd you'd put out an STL file so others could print the model. (Since I already have a 2D template up there...)
Am I dumb? The attachment for the paper template isn't showing up here for me ?!? Where can I find it? Also any progress on the 3d printed one?
EDIT: Im a dumbass, it just wasnt showimg up on mobile
Curious what the plates cost? I've been seeing Warden 13 demos for ~$100/pair (used) recently. Curious what the delta is.
Bumping this again bc I'm about to mount a few pairs of skis lying around, and figured most of the W13 Demo users are in here. As a gear hoarder,I've accumulated too many binding, so realized I have Warden 13 demos, Warden 13 regular and Warden 11 regular (grabbed for the wife , they are purple and match her skis 🙄)
For a daily driver that will see a lot of EC hardback and shit conditions (Enforcer 94), any real downside other than the extra 1/2 lb weight to the W13 demo vs regular.? Any long term durability issues?
Btw just as a data point, here's some weights per single binding measured with 100mm brakes
W11. 1000g
W13 1128g
W13 Demo. 1366g
anybody got a pair of w13 demos they would let go? Needing to upgrade the fleet to gripwalk compatible and trying not to break the bank at the worst time of the year to buy new ski gear
Not sure your price point, but just PM’d you

thanks for the FB marketplace heads up. Hoping for cheaper than $150 shipped though...
I'm fine with used
Like always, I’m late to the party, but thanks gregorys for the template!
I'm not a big user of the W13, but I've got a few mounted. I honestly can't see any reason not to run any modern demo. The Warden is, IMO, one of the better demos out there, but all are pretty good.
Finding tracks for the Marker demo's is easier (Marker will sell them without any fuss) than Warden or Attacks, so that would be a benefit for Marker - if that's something you need.
So, yeah, demos are just plain nice to have. And I don't have any "light" skis anyway - so the extra weight (on, for example, my Bodacious 196's) seems trivial. Easy to share a ski, sell etc.
@RAB3 - you're totally welcome! Glad it worked out for you!
I printed the v1.4 toe piece template from the first post. Front and back holes measure 82mm on printout, but side to side holes only measure 30mm. If I scale up so that side holes measure 32mm on printout front and back holes measure 85mm on printout. So something's off, for me anyway.
Ideas/comments?
Since no-one else has a comment, let me see what I can find. (I've pretty much completely moved to the Attack2, and haven't mounted a pair of these in ages, and don't have a pair to examine easily either.) And no-one has complained about the template, since I last updated a couple of years ago..so I'm puzzled.
Ok, I see the issue you're talking about. (Toe holes are printed as 32mm wide, and when printed to proper scale, are only 30mm wide.)
But if I look at the previous template version, the toes say 30mm, and print at 30mm. (And I'm not sure if 30 or 32 is right.)
Do you have a pair of calipers and could measure the widths again? (Using the binding.)
To get center-to-center: Measure the diameter of one of the holes. Zero the caliper. Measure the width, outside to outside. The reading is the center-to-center width.
Thanks!
