Huh? Have you seen the stats on how many Americans admit to smoking? Right up there with alcohol.Quote:

Absolutely, look we are talking about them, when most likely we would talking about huckneck... or something core.Quote:

this thread grows faster than a hemp plant .
What ever happened to using a goggle bag? They're free!
Would hate to see these stats for CO mountain towns. Alcohol wouldn't stand a chance.Quote:

Irresponsible? or Effective?
We've gotten hate mail before on the 420 kit and Burton's "official" response is that it's a tool kit. But they won't tell you what type of tools. Selling over 2000+ of those in less than a year is the supply/demand of the marketplace.
dude, bro, isnt this supposed to be a work free smoke place?
ski market was selling a similar item called "crypto-sacks" for a bit until a customers' mom bitched about the intended use. living in canada is a different world, people light up worry free all over. i think the US should drop mj from the criminal list as well. alcohol is ten times worse in terms of health and danger to society.
Seems the Puritans are being challenged again.
How many waterproof boxes (pelican'ish) have you sold during the same time period?Quote:

I think what they mean by 'burn before you turn' is that you should hike your ass up the mountain before skiing down it. ;)
And if that doesn't burn you...add about 30 pounds of snow on for good fortune.
If I am not mistaken, I believe that MJ was orriginally criminalized in the US due to the competition that hemp posed to cotton, rather than due to the bud.....Quote:

I have friends that drink/burn sometimes before a day on the slopes. I don't care about people who can still handle their shit and have a good time but impaired (not able to handle their gear and body) is impaired no matter how you got there.
smoking pot and skiing go hand in hand. Why do you think steamboat now has cops at the top and bottom of their gondola on powder days and weekends. Personally, I LOVE skiiing high. Now if I could only figure out a way to have sex while rippin the pow I would be set.
One question: Why are you all such haters?
I have skied high a million times....it is fun, but generally I just get sloppy....i cant stomp hucks as well, and I just get SO thirsty that I drink 50 galls of water and have to piss behind a tree everyother run...
"Burn before you turn" sounds like a great ad. Especially after reading all of your alls posts. When I clicked this thread I thought for sure it was going to be all about the sweet cheeba. But after reading the first couple posts I thought maybe not so much. Interesting none the less.
Well the herb is around and strong as always, the kits are a good idea but as some of you say, not needed. I know many people who have 420 kits or similar, but use them carefully and cautiously and every single zipper broke the first couple of days. The law does screw it up for us, but it is a lot safer than boozing. A lot of smokers can function daily with no effects, like go to work, school, excercise, etc.
So its not legal. Why not legalize it and tax the shit out of it. Then use that money to the governments advantages, like pay off the deficits, purchase land, improve schools, the options could be unlimited. I mean there would have to be rules and age limits as well, but it should be classified similarly to alcohol. Just a thought.
There's no real way to tax it. Think about it, the stuff grows in people's basements among other places, not in pharmaceutical laboratories or major production line plants. Why pay the xx% tax when you can buy from your buddy and not give the Man the pleaseure of taxing you? It'd be near impossible to control, as it is now.Quote:

Still not convinced people would buy it instead of the stuff growing in their buddy's backyard. But yeah, cultural perception would be the biggest block as I'm not yet convinced the stuff should be legalized.Quote:

As far as hemp/cotton, the hemp gin was not invented until just after criminalization. If hemp had been a bigger industry, it would never have been criminalzed.
P.S. - George Washington ordered everyone to plant 2 tablespoons of hemp seed in their victory gardens. Hemp was rope and sails at that time.
to continue the reason. the criminalization of mj was similar to the crim of opium. as crim of ope was directed at the chinese, crim of mj was directed at african and mexican americans. its basically whities being scared of other races way back in the day. white people drank. other nationalities couldn't afford to drink. the gov also said that it made chinese, black, mexican, etc. violent and agressive towards white women. "reefer madness" anyone. i watch a lot of tv. hist channel had a week on the hist of drugs.Quote:
