The time has come for that crap to stop. Public companies have shareholder obligations (in theory anyway). Many have explicit non-discrimination policies. They should live those policies. They should not spend money to discriminate against many of their employees and shareholders. Many companies benefit from government contracts. Those seem to come with non-discrimination terms too. Those should extend to advertising business deals. They should just walk away...
There are people playing at Augusta who can only play there and many other courses because someone had the fortitude to stand up and say "this will not stand" when blacks, jews, asians, etc. were barred from membership. It is time to do this with respect to gender. Yes - Augusta has the right (to some degree) to govern itself and set its membership rules as it will. The decent part of the population has the right to tell them to go to hell for it. To refuse to sponsor or advertise. To refuse to watch. And if Augusta is rich enough and haughty and bigoted enough to want to continue on their path let them do so with everyone knowing what they are.
