Ah, thank you for posting that. I recalled having seen a video a while back of Killy talking about not having skied for a long time, but I couldn't find it, or even remember if it was in a documentary, or whatever. In any case your mention of the article led me to a CNN interview where Killy talks about it at 1:55 into the vid.

It's seems very sad to me he completely gave up skiing, but I get where he's coming from, and it was of course his choice.
